I am creating this thread to discuss a scenario on the basis of anti-IK people to have a serious discussion. Anything except on topic should not be discussed.

According to PDM/establishment supporters IK was ousted by the establishment because he was incompetent and in the greater interest of the country was not good for Pakistan given our prolong period of relations with the west. My question is how exactly do you guys see the current PM or the PDM getting us out of this economy which may go as bad as Sri Lanka.

The above sketch is by giving you people benefit of a doubt that the PDM is not corrupt and are capable of handling this.

.
PDM is failing with each passing day, they cant control price of daily use items and china, saudi, uae are not helping and it wont be long if elections are called in, also Imran khan long march is going to accelerate the election time i am sure of it. This could get bloody Too As i dont see Hamza and zardari in favor of elections.
So mark Oct or Nov for elections.

Yup that is exactly what I believe in too, but that's coming from IK supporters. I am looking for narrative of PDM supporters because their stance is IK was incompetent and while saying this they emphasize on the economy.

Just like they did previously.

Pakistan's external debt has to be twice as much as it's today to be in the same situation as Sri Lanka. So the situation is not so bad.

PDM has just taken control and they are putting out fires left by previous administration (as per them). It will take a couple of years before one can be sure if the administration is better at their job.

They are sitting on their asses, a month gone and not a single decision taken or enforced except maybe Saturday on. That too rejected by half the departments, talk about writ. The other half abusing SS.

They've also had discussions with IMF and traditional allies. The fruits of these discussions are yet to ripe :agree:

External debt or foreign reserves? The problem is that people here in Pakistan have assets beyond means and some legit rich people but Pakistan is going down the hill. I am assuming same happened with Sri Lanka. They have money in their bank but the country cannot pay to import anything i.e fuel, etc. So ultimately they don't have electricity and so on everything has become to a halt.

Btw I am yet to see a PDM supporter with their side of the story which explains it all. They themselves have no hope?

If you listen to IK and his people, they are not really complaining that establishment ousted them, they are angry that establishment did not save IK.That basically exonerates military from being actively involved in the conspiracy.

What a self assumed assessment, amazed.
How you arrived to this conclusion?
This types of analysis misguide the top brass. Making them feel good about their actions.

I meant external debt. Sri Lanka's revenue dropped because of tax cuts and drop in tourism. The country's credit rating went down because of it and therefore it lost the ability to raise new capital. The country's reserves were used to meet debt servicing and pay for imports at same time. Reserves ran out in no time. Pakistan has a long way to go before reaching that level of debt. Also Pakistan has more strategic allies than Lanka.

The are only a few PDM supporters in this forum. Most of whom are already banned or are Indians

Honestly, I don't have any particular preference in Pakistan's domestic politics. I do feel that the new government came to power through a constitutional process (NCV) and are assaulted unfairly within a month for economic issues beyond their control.

I do not write false opinions here to support PDM. What I write here is the perspective of an outsider who has been reading news posted on this forum only. I do not watch Pakistani TV or anything.

I think the most important difference in our perspective is that I'm used to NCV from following Indian politics. So I don't think that it is inherently unfair or suspicious :pop:

Loooool. In Pakistan all democratic process such as NCM vote cannot happen without the go ahead of military establishment.

..as per the Army's comment, they are just neutral and non partisan. I think that may be true because they did not have to get involved (in this case) even if the outcome is what they desired. Imran did not have majority and in such cases opposition rally around like opportunistic vultures in developing democracies.

In Canada, even the centrist Trudeau has not had majority for two terms now. But he will not loose control because the left and right cannot possibly ally with each other because of principles in policy. In developing countries however, such distinction does not exist. So what happened in Pakistan is very possible without military having to get involved :pop:
