nopes i did not meant that way. it was a reply to why dont we consider everyone as pakistani. but the fact of the matter any bit with little dark tone is first asked his identity as being Indian ....

as seen from your above post only no one asks are you pakistani? thats what i mean by identity crisis.

I can expect better argument from you.. All the Asians (chinese, japnese, koreans etc)... the first thing people associate them with is China and ask if they are chinese.. it has nothing to do with identity crisis... People of other races cant differentiate between people... and associate it with majority group or something which they see in everyday life..

Asians (chinese, japenese, indians, pakistanis) etc only makes less than 2% of US population and out of that I think pakistanis make 0.1% .. then how come they can ask the question "are you pakistani" when they havent seen that many...

For example... dark medium to dark skinned Pakistanis in U.S.A are usually confused for Indians (not in a bad way).. People ask are you from India?

Olive Skinned Pakistanis <---- people ask them if you are Latino or Mexican ?

Light Skinned Pakistanis <----- Are you Italian or Meditteranean?

Nothing to do with identity crisis but ignorance of people... Many Americans haven't seen the diversity of Middle East and South Asia.. you can't blame them either.. there aren't that many of them anywayz..
