Obviously their is bound to be some Orthodox influence as it was once Constantinople however I am sure the Ottomans added their own influence to these sites, though I am no expert in this field, perhaps one of the Turkish members could better elaborate on this query.kudosYes, but wasnt Hagia Sophia originally a Orthodox Cathedral...back in the days of the Byzantines? It definitely influenced the Blue Mosque architectural style is what I read...and of course the minarets around the Hagia Sophia were later additions by the Ottomans.
In fact I have heard that the Orthodox chuch establishment to this day has not given up some form of claim to it since it was consecrated as a church/cathedral and this cannot be revoked/given up once done.
