Beautiful diversity: Football to spur social reform as Muslim players shine for France at World Cup

. . .
French are perhaps the most rude and racist nation on earth.
I have seen first hand how racist these French are. They are snobby and arrogant and don't like Muslims even though Muslims built the French empire and gave it glory.

.
I think before France is criticized we must give it credit

a) It gave chance to immigrants to be in National Team and get top level support coaching
which country in world can claim it has , Christians, Muslims and Jews in one team and successfully
winning?

b) We must admit the world is heavily divided and racially divided where ever we go

While it is true , France have played a role to Colonize Africa and many countries of world
so there must be sense of better then others , however the image they portrays to world with their Football team is that look you can get different ethnicity to common cause and win the Cup

Things are a bit different on the ground... I understand the critics from both sides... Both are right and wrong, it depends on the situation...
The Muslim community complain is that when something bad happen... Origin and Religion is the first thing that is put ahead, even though that same person is French Born and Raised... But When it's all good, The society call them French and refuse to acknowledge or put ahead their Origin or/& Faith... That's the double standard that is fueling anger among some...
And per exemple, you did the same,
" because these people are different than those Muslim who bomb and kill innocent French on French Street," see, you say Muslim... Why not French with Islamic Faith or just French.

Religion and Secularism in France are taking a different road than what it was intended in the beginning...
The State in France has a purpose to not get into "Religious" Matter... meaning she needs to let each "Religion" be governed by their respective believers... and guarantee the Freedom to believe and exercise your faith, according to the Law of the Republique. But Nowadays the State is giving the image (by their actions/laws etc...) to Direct/Teach/Force Religion to behave according to a secularist state... Aka Making Secularism a religion...

Many, think that is only Islam that is targeted... Yes Islam take a an important part in those State actions, But Catholics are also complaining, they feel that their "Identity" is being washed by this ever growing "Secularism"
And some extreme political parties, are taking the blame on "The expansion of Islam" as a consequence to their "Identity lose"....

IMO, Saying that X or Y is a French and adding his Faith is not a problem... Many will argue that Faith is a personal matter and shall not be on the public space... I just think Faith is also part of you Identity as much as Being French... Therefore by suppressing the liberty to express it, it's also a condition that "will" alienate many, with the consequences that comes with it...

Depend on how the society sees it.

In a way, you are right, however, in a secular society, you either care about all religion or not caring a single one at all, which mean you either make religion, all religion, into a part of your society, or have nothing to do with it at all. While some country do listed every sort of religion and integrate them into their society (like Turkey) most country do not (like France and US), and in the end, we need to respect a countries decision on its own affair.

And when I say "Muslim" I am actually referred to the Muslim in General and not the French, in my mind, if you committed a treason (Which terrorist attack on your own people are and can be labelled as Treason) You cease to be a part of us, whether or not you are Muslim or Christian, that does not matter to me.

While I will have to admit that today Muslim is being portrayed as a badlight in the media, or being vilified by government, the thing is, that is not at all mean they would not do that to other religion group if and when there is a time, it's the Christian who go out and bomb their own countrymen. It indeed happened in the past and we all know how the world see that.

As to France, I am not living in France so I would not know the day to day life as a Muslim in France, so I cannot speak as a volume of that, I can only speak for myself and what I think.
