Beast of Kandahar

As per the technological advancements of the US this may prove a platform on which future versions of lethal drones can be designed. Although this UAV is being regaraded as only a 'stealth' drone with no firepower.

But to see this drone out here in Aghanistan is a sign of concern. You see, US already has the tech to test this drone at Lockheed Martin's headquarters. By bringing this drone in the Far East, it's capabilities are being more aggressively evaluated. Obviously not against the Taliban in Afghanistan, it would be childish to thinks so. Rather we can safely assume that it 'can be' tested in real-world scenarios by conducting sorties inside Iran and/or Pakistan, and to be a bit more far-fetched 'other' adjoining nations. This will surely provide this drone with a lot more innovations and evaluated results to further the cause of USAF in future. Nonetheless an alarming development for Pakistan and other regional nations.

As time tells

USA has always over estimated it self
1. In Vietnam
2. First phase of Afghan and Iraq wars (Bush time) like bring it on etc

People like me who don't like extremist at all and or not big fan of bulling do find hard to see US wining hearts and minds of people with that attitude

But

When USA learn t the ground reality and were no more bully, they did contact with same Sunnis fighter they were fighting with and made them their ally.

US has to stop under estimate others religion cultures and way of life. Be friends not masters
This has nothing to do with foreign affairs but about technical capabilities. Some people mistook the deployment of these mysterious aircrafts to Afghanistan as part of the overall war strategy. From my personal experience in field weapons testing in my civilian life after a decade in the USAF, particularly in small scale avionics such as those in missiles -- small radars to small flight controls systems -- I know this has nothing to with Afghanistan. We do not need low observable designs in either Iraq or Afghanistan as part of any war strategy. But we want to know how WE would do against an adversary with similar capabilities like ours and Afghanistan's terrain is ideal for this imaginary adversary. There are parallel learning events here. The UAV pilots gain proficiency with their machines in 'real world' conditions and the manned aircrafts gain practical 'real world' experience at hunting 'stealth'. Just as how the F-117s flew only at night and finally shocked the world with their effectiveness in Desert Storm, the next time an adversary that is more technologically capable than the Taliban faces US, what we learn now will be as equally shocking.
