Come give some specific examples. What have been e.g. Chinese responses in said cases? Would you agree that if it is ok for China to complain to US about any such flights, it is also ok for e.g. UK to complain to Russia?

Not filing or not following a flightplan, turning of your transponder e.g., endangers civilian aviation. Esp. in a post 9/11 environment. In areas where there are main air routes, it is plain stupid behaviour.

British RAF Typhoon fighter jets have been scrambled in response to two Russian Bear long-range bombers spotted off the coast of Cornwall

The UK Foreign Office summoned the Russian ambassador to lodge a complaint about the flight of Russian military jets over the English Channel, which authorities claimed posed a danger to passenger aircraft. However no details were given as to how the bombers posed a danger.

Russia's Air Force spokesman said the air patrol flights were carried out according to an approved plan, and conducted in strict compliance with international regulations of the use of airspace above neutral waters, without violating other countries' borders.

• they file no flight plan;
• they deviate from a filed flight plan;
• they switch off their transponders; and/or
• they carry nuclear weaponry
