one billion is grossly exaggerated, i want to see the official stats not some politician at a assembly. MOD EDIT

. .
Hope Indian importers don't get harassed while importing from Bangladesh, and hope our products don't become subject of double taxation again.

India has 1.1 billion people, exporting 1 billion dollar worth of products to them is cant be grossly exaggerated.

.
i think we should start boycotting BD goods. Their exports to India is increasing dramatically. :(

That is one of the main barriers in Bangla-Indo trade. If that is removed, i think we can have good foothold in their market

India has already given duty free access to bangladeshi garment exporters...

. . .
Good news. Even though the amount is small, its a good sign.
Hopes the number increases

Hope if the same thing is provided to India in bangladesh, than what will happen ???:D

.
Does anyone here know what are the main exported items by Bangladesh to India apart from Hilsa fish and jute. We should buy the raw materials and sell them back the finished products ;)

.
This overly exaggerated figure is just a future estimation and not yet reached. And on top of that
SANA quoted an indian official like Shivshankar Menon who is a well known BD hater. I recommend
the thread to be made sticky so that we can relate this news with the official figure which will come out by June 2012. And indians here are cleverly avoiding the mounting trade deficit and
showing us this imaginative figure.:disagree:
