Not.
BBC, obviously, is clear with the only objective behind this report to hold then CM Narendra Modi responsible for riots. Entire documentary, since beginning to end was crafted accordingly featuring selected actors.
Highlight of the film was a testimony by then foreign secretary of UK, Jack Straw who conducted the “fact-finding”.
The documentary tried to make “breakthrough” by Jack Straw testimony & UK’s fact-finding
but offers no evidences but the same narrative with cautions “its undoubtedly has to be Modi only” while holding him responsible for what transpired after Godhara for 3 days in Gujarat.
This is Kanwal Sibal’s, then foreign secretary, comment over UK’s “fact finding” team.
The video opens with a
background voice speech from Haridwar Dharm Saansad 2021 which has no whatsoever connection with the events happened around 27 Feb 2002 in Gujarat.
Documentary briefly talks about Godhara train burning but
quickly concluded it with “the cause of fire in the train was disputed”. No accused names, no detailing, no characterisation.
This despite the FACT that in October 2017, the high court had commuted to
life imprisonment the death sentence awarded to 11 convicts in the Godhra train burning case. It had upheld the life sentence awarded to 20 other convicts in the case.
The story then kept hovering around Jafri, Haren Pandya, Sanjiv Bhatt & Sreekumar and tried to establish something which has been already proven false after rigorous scrutiny for 20 yrs in every court with 100s of hrs of interrogation & 1000s of witness examining.
The report obviously didn’t touch the SIT finding and anything that has given clean chit to any role of then CM Modi.
Script writer also dodged the role of Ford Foundation, Teesta Setalwad, Ahmed Patel and all those framed & fabricated evidences against then CM.
Meanwhile here is A sample of how the BBC deals with and suppresses the truth !
This is a Hit Job before the 2024 elections. An desperate attempt to interfere in Indian elections.
