The Battle of the Aces ! First go thru the post. Understand the specifications. Then vote wisely.
As you know it's a battle between offers , deals and friendship for India. Lots of offering in defence field for India now a days. Last visit of President Putin India's best friend and trustable Patners accepted our PM'S offer to Make their high tech helicopters in India . Supposed to be Ka 226T LUH and Armed variant of MI 17 . Great deal for India as Russians will also gain from cheep manufacturing
cost and more orders from Indian subcontinent. All hailed this very deal in India including me. A big fan of crazy Putin and fan of good friend Russia. All of a sudden I came to know that South Koreans also offered their LUH beast with full ToT and manufacturing base in India (I guess) . So what will be our government's stand. Which one we must choose. I love it if we can buy from our friend Russians. They need some real cash . We can bail them out with this deal. But we already owe lots to them with our future deals like 25 billions $ FGFA , Bramos , Subs probably , Mig 29 upgrades and future Mig 29 KUB procurement for our indigenous aircraft carrier and list is going on for a mile. like nuclear deals nuclear subs etc.
So is it wise if we choose between the best of LUH ? As per current requirements we need atleast 400 LUH . We are progressing with our own LUH project. So i like to state some specs on both the mean machines . You decide the best for our nation If u are an Indian or best for a Airforce if u are a defence enthusiast . But remember what we will choose will serve India for the next 3-4 decades easily. So here we go .
KAI Surion helciopter
KAI Surion helciopter features
The helicopter features an inertial navigation system, global positioning system, an automatic flight control system, forward-looking infrared radar and a digital MAP.
It is also equipped with a health and usage monitoring system, a modular weapon system, a counter measure dispensing system, infrared counter measures, electronic counter measures, a radar warning receiver, a hands-on collective and stick, and an on-board inert gas generating system.
Armaments
The helicopter is fitted with six BGM-71 tube-launched optically tracked (TOW) air-to-air missiles or four rocket pods. The BGM-1 TOW is an anti-tank guided missile designed and developed by Hughes Aircraft. The maximum operational range of the missile is 3,750m. It weighs around 3.9kg to 5.9kg.
Surion self-protection systems
EADS Defence and Security installed a MILDS AN/AAR-60 self-protection system in the Surion helicopter. The self-protection systems are incorporated with a spectral of sensor suite.
The Surion protects itself from attack by detecting and tracking ultraviolet emissions radiated by approaching missiles. The ultraviolet rays are more effective at lower and slower targets. The UV rays are more vulnerable to atmospheric conditions.

Let the battle began. May the best get more votes . Purely on their capabilities. With no bias .
Fair and reasonable comparisons are highly appreciated

General Information
The Ka-226T is a powerful, light multirole helicopter that, in addition to meeting high safety standards, boasts incredibly precise hovering ability, excellent manoeuvrability and is very easy to fly. Improved performance characteristics of the Ka-226T include eco-friendly features, efficiency, modern avionics and additional flight safety solutions – making this one of the best models in its class.
- The Ka-226T is powered by 580 h.p. FADEC-equipped Arrius 2G1 engines by Turbomeca which enables the helicopter to land or take-off safely if one engine fails.
- The coaxial main rotor system and absence of a tail rotor not only makes it safer on the ground and in the air, but also makes it possible to use the Ka-226T in spaces with scant room for manoeuver, as the fuselage does not extend beyond the area swept by the rotors.
- The Ka-226 can operate day and night, in regular and adverse weather conditions, over land or expanses of water, and also in high winds.
- It is operation in temperatures ranging from -50°С до +50°С with a relative humidity of 100%, and does not need to be kept in a hangar.
The Ka-226T helicopter boasts a modular design and can be delivered in a variety of modifications.
- The passenger model can comfortably set up to seven people.
- The transport model can carry one tonne within the fuselage or on an external sling and cargo platform can be installed to carry oversize goods.
- The Ka-226T has two kinds of medical uses – medevac and intensive care. Medevac helicopters are equipped with stretchers to carry the injured, oxygen cylinders, and the requisite medical equipment. There are fold-away seats for medical staff. When used to provide intensive-care treatment, the Ka-226T can accommodate one patient and two medical staff.
- As a police vehicle, the Ka-226T can transport up to six people and is excellently suited to law enforcement activities such as: ensuring law and order, patrolling areas, identifying and tracking criminals, and managing the traffic police.
- The search-and-rescue version of the Ka-226 can operate in difficult climates and in a range of different environments, including mountainous areas. High hover precision makes it possible to get injured people on board safely.
