What's new

Batches of 50 to 100 Uighur workers are being advertised on the Chinese internet

At least the rest of us now can discuss this for it's merits without the trolling.

IMO it could quite easily be spin by Sky News, although some of the stuff on the phone call was dodgy. Like why does anyone need a govt letter to work?
Finally someone talking sense.. The letter is recommendation but I am sure Sky news will spin it as some permit or whatever. Plus there is the hukou system which applies to all Chinese citizen regardless of any race in China.

One day, one fake story about China. How desperate and lunatic the West has become. It must be really bad in the US and UK.

I am pretty sure no one, with a normal mind, can believe in such stories.

Another generalization. Most Chinese dont bother to come to this forum and not many Chinese speak English. Many has great view of Pakistanis. Any Pakistanis if acknowledge in China will be treated like guest. You can check out many experience of Pakistanis ever visited China.

I know mate, the relations are warm mostly, but this shows another type whose existence people don't know of. They are minority today but could be majority in future when China rises higher. You never know.

To me, it called respect of others feelings .and if you voiced your real opinons you might be committing career and social suicide but you won't have to fear the state could lock you up . To me, freedom is not having to fear the state if I voiced my thoughts.
A distinction without a difference. Places like Canada can afford (and I choose that term precisely) to practice this much more effective "soft" censorship because they're much wealthier and more developed than the society you fled. They don't need to send the police to come knocking at your house at three in the morning to enforce Correct Thought, they have much more effective brainwashing and social punishment mechanisms to do that.

One of the first and most effective lines is convincing you that you're not the victim of censorship. It's only those poor people in Third World countries who are censored, not you. This worthless distinction between "government" and "private" censorship is a prime example.

Totally agree, the things I am questioning is the second factory they visited advertised Uighur labourers on their website yet on site the manager denied they ever used Uighur labour. Also the Uighur who was interviewed flanked by CCP was the worst way you can demo to the rest of the world that Uighurs are not being treated SPECIALLY.

I wonder why they don't grant untethered access to the world media and kill these rumours - what have they got to hide? It is the reluctance against this that pushes me to believe what Sky allege.

I dont know. If ever such thing is on rise. Sure you will see Indian suffer first in China public. But even during high border tension of June. All indian expatriate working in China suffer no discrimination or hate speech from local.

CPC are a very rational government. They work for this best for their people and any extreme thought are forbidden which will corrupt the society and easily cause hate and violent.

About 18 months ago when all this noise about the Uighur started i predicted this. As Muslims we know exactly how the western propaganda machine works. Now I assume there is something untoward happening in Xianjing, i believe in the saying there is no smoke without fire, but I know for a fact that Western media will spin it as much as possible to undermine China.

I also predict in the next 12-24 months there will be ISIS presence suddenly in Xianjing and they will be blaming Afghanistan for it. For the next 5-10 years Western media will create resentment against OBOR projects and where possible will fund militancy against it. Balochistan is going to suffer because of this, i'm sure of it.

China fails to manage it's public image and it's allies in OBOR are also governments that have the same problem. In some cases it's because they don't care about the public opinion.

Why people like SBUS-CXK still allowed to post in this forum and not permanent banned. Some members who pretending to be Pro China with Chinese flag but obviously with ulterior motive are spilling craps here trying to incite hatred and resentment with inflammatory remarks. I've seen there are numbers of such accounts behaving that way. It's like many different actors with different flags trying to stir the pot constantly in PDF.

I don't believe any normal human beings post that way unless his job is trolling. No patriotic Chinese will come to a Pakistan forum and tried so hard to damage Chinese image with such a detrimental rhetoric. I'm kind of disappointed with the PDF mods because it seems all the trolls got 100 chances to come back.(Not just those pretending to be Chinese) They get banned for a short time and come back again with the same BS without changing ID from looking at their join date and post counts.

I find myself visiting PDF less and less because of the out of control troll fest and hatred throw around here now a days. I understand this is a military forum and sometimes argument and dick measuring contest happens due to rivalry. A light heart tease/ trolling is fun sometimes, but all the malicious trolling is turning the forum into a cesspool.

If you are true Chinese patriots you defend China by debating with facts and not insults. If you don't want to debate other members in respectful manner then just please stay away. To the Pakistani friends here, anyone can fly a Chinese flag, but they don't represent China. Don't let the fog of propaganda blur your vision. At the end of the day, the strategic partnership and cooperation between China and Pakistan is what matter the most. The rest is nothing but a side show.

Exactly, although sky didn't provide any URLS, not even in the videos. So it's not like anyone can go to independently verify what they said. I've long said China has a media problem.

What a lovely fellow he was.
Here's another example of a lovely fellow:
@waz can you ban this dumbass sinobot again please? Just read the topic.
He's just some paid CPP troll. This is the new confident CPP troll trying to present the image of touch China. Pretty hard to do when most of you are 5'5 and stuck fearing for your lives in factories with nets on the outside to prevent suicide.
Winnie the Pooh is paying him per post. If he doesn't write this sh1t his family get sent to a camp.
@yuba this proves the point I'm making exactly. One lovely fellow's abuse went against the prevailing social diktat and he was censored. Another lovely fellow's abuse went with the diktat and he's applauded, so it has nothing to do with any written "rules." It has to do with enforcing the prevailing narrative by removing dissonant voices. What name do you have for that other than censorship?

From my perspective - any of the nonsense i said was a direct response to trolling, rather than a reflection of my honest opinions about China.

You shall know in Xinjiang, there is Kazh, Tartar, Tajikstan or even Mongolian and Tibetan. I do not really know what Sky news ask the factory manager to get his reply he wanted. I find this whole report by sky news very fishy and full of loopholes. Many of the reply are simply idiotic to get himself into trouble with local authority.

I'll look at those posts, an no they're not acceptable either. But the wholesale abuse the other got up to (yes he has a history of it) was on another level.

So shouldn't this be a time where journalist were invited and given untethered access to investigate and report the truth? When you try and censor this is the outcome, a potentially half cooked story but no real means to verify it.

I dont know why you blame China for public imagine when other are just bend to spin every of our poverty reduced policy as genocide. You know the western media of so called exposing China genocide is never for the good of uighur but just a political attack to undermine China progress.

China is different from Japan or South Korea. China is a country big enough to change the hegemony created by US where no country can challenge US might.

You sure Sky news report everything the truth, with no spice up and fanciful addition by themselves? Some of the reply by the so called local interviewers, I will say, are too stupid. Sorry, cant help it.
