are u talking about Real Madrid - last time i looked they were in the C/League SF. sure they are examples where money has not brought any trophies but in general, this formula has worked for many teams.

and even blackpool enjoy greater atmosphere than most of la liga teams

Well one reason is that the Spainiards are more working class people who have lesser time to watch every match in the stadium, the 2nd reason is, the La liga stadiums are much smaller.

Not entirely correct, even with all the money Roman Abramovich has spent on Chelsea they have not managed to win the CL. Man City are taking the same route but so far their only achievement is the FA cup final this year.

Like i said, Barca have become scary and that is not limited to La Liga. Although you are an Arsenal fan and it will salt on your wounds but they limited them to 0 shots on goal during the 2nd leg of the CL round of 16 match.

I support Madrid but I am not happy the with the results. . . One Ronaldo cannot make Madrid no. 1

They have the Emirates Stadium instead.... I think the board should have known they wouldn't be able to spend anything on the team if they build a new stadium so they took a gamble by relying on Wenger and their Youth system but it didn't pay off. However they are on their way back with a very promising and young side.

Yes they will but i don't think Sheik Mansour will be happy with a Micky Mouse cup with the amount of money he has spent. An achievement for them would be to qualify for the CL next season. However i hate Manchester Shitty and would like Spurs to finish 4th.

Well...for one they have been buying a lot of A holes like Robinho, Tevez, Adebayor, Viera and 2ndly they are just a bunch of wannabies like Chelsea who are depending on one man's wealth to buy success.

stoke have the central defending pair who can deal with any LONE striker in the world and they play wide

city main threat is tevez (one and only striker) and strong midfield of de jong, yaya toure etc but stoke will just bypass their midfield with long balls

Here i agree with you, referees always tend to side Barca although they are one of the most blatant divers, play actors and ref hounders. This has got to stop.

Valencia all the way in La Liga. Unfortunately the smaller teams have a hard job in keeping their star players, the loss of Villa and Silva hurt. Still Soldado and Mata are doing a good job. Champions league seems to be very close, as they sit comfortably on third spot with only a few games remaining now.
I abhore Real Madrid to put it quite straight. Buy buy buy, and yet still they find themselves 8 points behind Barca.

Regarding the PL, La Liga comparison, i like the spanish football style, short quick passing, individual skill and the connection between the players is a real treat.

Valencia are facing the same problem Arsenal has had for the last 3 years, i.e new stadium. They are in huge debt because of it and at one time during the 2008/2009 season they weren't even able to pay their player's salaries for 2-3 months. Villa and Silva were only sold because it was the only way to generate cash once their loan request was rejected otherwise they would have had to declare bankruptsy.

The thing i like about spanish clubs is that they have very few resources as compared to premiership clubs and yet with their own youth systems the mid table clubs in La Liga like Getafe, Athletic Bilbao, Espanyol, Racing Santander have much better quality than the mid table clubs of BPL like Fulham, Blackburn, Bolton etc.
