I think this is quite an outdated view. India is willing to pay any price for what it deems strategically critical and there is no comparable Indian system.

I think, for this reason, India and Israel are going to be working together a lot more for the forseeable future.

Well this could be because India is working on its own HALE UAV (Rustom-2) and with a large fleet of Herons already in service with muliple branches there is little market for a new version of the Heron within India.

Still under development, it won't be in service for another 4-5 years but the Indian Heron fleet is very new and will easily serve for another decade so there is no rush.
