Its very common among Bangladeshi women to wear bindiya on forehead. Some wear red bindya, some other designed bindiya. Its not hindu tika. Its part of Bangladeshi culture.
I don't know why Pakistanis always get surprised by seeing a bindiya on a Muslim girl's forehead. Its cultural, not religious.
