Bangladesh to observe one-minute blackout on March 25

Not really. Here is an extract from the article. How are you going to paint it?

"On December 3, Pakistan in a desperate attempt to turn the tide launched a massive air strike against Indian airfields, but with little effect. Kissinger, emotionally fraught and anxious to save West Pakistan, warned Nixon that Pakistan’s defenses could not last two weeks. He pressured him to arrange the transfer of F104 fighter planes from Jordan, Iran and Turkey to Pakistan, even though doing so constituted a clear violation of the US laws in effect. On December 12, Nixon and Kissinger warned the Soviet Union to restrain India by noon that day, or they would “initiate unspecified unilateral measures.”

In addition, Nixon ordered the nuclear aircraft carrier Enterprise to sail at once to the Bay of Bengal in a show of force and to threaten India. Finally, these measures worked. By the noon deadline, the Soviet Union informed the US that they had received assurance from India that “it had no intention of taking any military action against West Pakistan.” A unilateral ceasefire was declared by India on December 17, 1971, the day after East Pakistan’s surrender."

America wanted to wage nuclear jihad on india.

Yes - that is true. I can't deny something that happened. In fact the 1962 fiasco emboldened the Rann of Kutch incident and led to the 1965 war.

America wanted to wage nuclear jihad on india.
More of a pressure tactic.

But what's the harm in apologizing and moving on? Germany and Italy have apologized. So has Japan. It happened almost 50 years ago. No one blames the current generation.

Mush did and he is not forgiven here.

Ethno fascist terrorists created a country and want an apology too

Till the last hilsa is smoked. These terrorists cannot be forgiven nor forgotten

More of a pressure tactic.

We wont ever know.

If you wanna find out. Try trump

He issued a formal apology?

You will be bitterly disappointed in your death bed for sure. Scientists are now claiming that sea level 'could' rise 0.7 meter by 2300 AD. That is 288 years from now. No part of Bangladesh is that low lying anyway.Another fact is, our land is gradually getting elevated due to flood slit deposition. So in the next 288 years. our southern part will be at least 1-2 meter higher than it is now naturally. So, in 2300 AD our lowest southern coastal part will be at least 1.3 meter higher than sea level even if we do nothing.

If you ever have to worry about sea level rise then worry about Karachi which is below sea level.
Well Sea,Burma and India are soon going to liberate you guys.

So, to prevent Indian invasion. Pakistan army could master only 45k troops to defend East Pakistan? home to 55 percent population of entire Pakistan. Although Pak army was 4 lakh strong in that time. I have read that, even those three divisions were the strategic reserve, not the regular, active troops. This is how, Pakistani military junta valued the defence of East Pakistan.East Pakistan had enmity with India not because for it's own reason, but for West Pakistani obsession to wrestle Kashmir by force from India. After 1965 war, Bhutto declared that, East Pakistan was saved by China.West Pakistani military rulers outsourced the defence of 55 percent citizen of Pakistan to the whims of China. Can you blame the majority population of East Pakistan if they rightfully conclude that, there is no point maintaining relation with West Pakistan after that? There are some Bangladeshi here who regret the break up with the assumption that, it was better with living under Pakistani defence/security umbrella. They should be ashamed.

@Al-zakir @Centaur

Just tell us that before 1971 how many border incidents you have with India which we now see most of the times and how many illegal BD immigrants were in India?

26 pages on PDF, hundreds of hours of collective precious time spent on deliberating 'one minute blackout on march 25 by B'desh...

On a serious note, this is akin to Pakistan asking for apology from India for close to a million or more/less people killed in the partition, the Punjab sides had seen the worst massacre with whole train loads of people being brutally massacred and killed...did ever Pakistan asked for an 'Apology' from India for that brutal massacre, much worst than the hyped 71 killings which according to Hammod-ur-Rehman commission is not more than 85,000 killed on either sides.

The point is non Bengalis were also killed in an equal number if not in a much bigger number...by the Mukhti Bahnis supported and financed by the India, much brutal where children and women were not spared by the Mukhti Bahnis.

Listen bro. If Bangladeshi people hate Pakistanis, then fine no problem. But why they sit on Indian dick while insulting Pakistan? This is the hypocrisy that I don't like.

The matter of the sad fact is that BD is the illegal child of India. This is a stain which BD has to bear forever.

It is sad reality that Bangladeshi people get killed by Indian BSF on borders but Bd can't do anything. India tries to do the same on LoC (not even an international border) and Pakistan dispatches Gangadeshis into hellfire and their media cries for weeks. I pretty sure before 1971, India would never dare disrespect the border.
