Sorta lol , we do have other foods people do like but the rice and fish part is stuck into peoples dam brains so people tend to eat rice and or fish.

I suggest Bangladesh starts to eat more wheat and dairy based products like the Europeans , not only it will make future generations of Bangladeshis taller but also stronger.

For ex : My dad loves rice and fish unlike me who was raised in America I don't mind rice but I love wheat based foods more than my dad.

Not in those exact recipes but everything in those dishes is available on our streets in various forms.

The issue here though is staple food consumption.

It is addictive. I gave up on carbs cold turkey for two weeks. Worst two weeks of my life but it helped me adjust to a permanently low carb diet.

Wheat is not much better. Better switch to a higher lean protein and veggie diet.

Yeah more protein and veggies won't be the issue since Bangladesh has lots of it , except for the ones that grow only in the cold seasons that we have to import mostly.

Giving example of India is not bashing.
It just appeared to me that the posts in this thread were derailing in the name of bashing India. If you read my post, I have no issues with bashing of any country where due. It appeared just out of context to me looking at the name of the thread. If anyone feels that it is not out of context and well within the preview of the heading of this thread please go ahead.

Why are you so submissive? have you tried to dig some data of total production of food grains + cereals + vegetable + fruits + dairy combined per capita of both India and Bangladesh ?
They (Bangladeshis) are freaking poor and armed with false data provided by BBS , they think themselves to be new asian tigers.

.
A normal person do not need to eat 180-200 kg cereal per year even if it is mainly a cereal based diet. People in the developed world consume around 100 kg cereal per year. On the other hand, our per capita Rice+wheat availability is around 250kg/per person/per year. Still need to import from India, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam etc.
180 kg per year consumption of rice is because other sources of nutrition are deficient in BD. It is very natural that people would try to eat more rice to cover other sources.

BD will always remain a food-deficient country with 160 million people living in such a small land area. Some people say the population is now over 170 million.

It is not difficult to be a tiger on a forum. In fact there are quite a few within this thread.

It is also not difficult to dish out data if it appears to make a difference. But only when FM in question appears to be receptive. It didn’t appear in this case. It would have turned into data vs data fight thereafter you said vs I said fight. Pointless to me.

In this case India bashing appeared to be the primary motive although intention quoted was something else. I don’t get into ugly trolling if it can be avoided.

Coming to comparison with Bangladesh. It is heartening to note that it is doing well for itself. I refrain from pulling down someone unless unavoidable.

Forum it is to agree and disagree.

Please go ahead and fire the salvo.

Lol both Bangladesh and India is both poor , and Bangladesh has a higher GDP per capita than India so with your logic India is poor asf.

No Bangladesh doesn't say they are Asian Tigers , it's international research but I guess you drink too much cow piss and it got into your brain.

I guess you guys can't see others do well huh , trying to compete with China and even failing LMAO

SUPA POWA 2020 can't even make a proper rifle and yet Singapore a country smaller than India can

Stupid mf

Congratulations to BD for coming out with guns blazing on economic front. SE Asia needs to come out from the clutches of poverty. Contrary to a lot of FMs, who presume that success of one country has to be at the cost of downfall of another, I think that there is huge potential for this region and all countries can do well in parallel.
It is a huge market within itself and if managed well all around well being would be visible.

Coming to the part of India not feeding its poor. Please note that there has been a Public Distribution System in place to give grains and other items to those who are deprived. Corruption does take away a portion of it. But it has made huge strides.

Considering the scale of those who are poor, it would take some time. I have seen improvement myself so I am hopeful. Fingers crossed.

Irrespective of what your current data say, India is still poor but a truly developing country, and BD will remain an underdeveloped country for many more decades.

BD people should stop bashing India. It is a rising star in a different league with a great GDP figure which is $2.8 trillion. Indian companies built Farakka and other smaller barrages. India built its Palatana hydro-electric project in Tripura.

There are thousand other things that can be listed. Can someone list up something that BD people did by their own efforts? All the projects are financed and done by foreign companies in BD. But, we start celebrating on the false assumption.

You guys have to understand the differences in the approaches these two countries take.

India however is much larger than Bangladesh and has major competiton against Pakistan and China which forces them to make such things on their own. Bangladesh is lazy and blind but for small nation it surprisingly it did good to grow and yeah sure it can't make it's own infrastructure but it can make certain things like ships, medicine and smartphones which isn't bad but a good start.

I agree that Bangladeshis celebrate for BS stupid reasons like for a dam bridge , they do cause deep in their mind they coping with the fact that Bangladesh sUcks and that bridge or megaproject that took 500 billion years to complete is finally finished and they have now decent infrastructure unlike before.

India isn't growing it's too diverse and corrupt to ever become a developed nation , Bangladesh has the potential to become a developed nation due to it being smaller and mostly homogeneous.

But if Bangladeshis don't act quick to develop this hell hole , climate change will **** Bangladesh into nothing

The amount of rice bengalis eat is unhealthy. I don’t understand how they can eat the same thing everyday

Here, Bd is like a Babui bird talking ill of India that unlike BD builds its house with its own efforts. The fundamental of development of a nation is to train its own people in order that they build their own nation.

Please cite the name of one nation that was ever built with the similar BD policy of asking foreigners to do the job. By the way, when you guys talk about successful shipbuilding, are you sure BD makes also components, especially the engines and many others? I do not think so.

BD cuts and welds the steel body only. It was good for initial stage, but BD companies should now go after manufacturing engines and compressors which is not exactly the easy works of cutting and welding. But, since the country is run by amature and corrupt bureaucrats and politicians, these things will always be imported because this is how they get their bribe money.

When BD companies do it, please take me in for a big celebration.

Well what'd expect from braindead corrupt Bangladeshi officials ? And most Bangladeshis don't like Bangladesh anyways and that's why they move to better nations , and that's why Bangladesh's passport sUcks in world ranking.

Bangladesh is country that keeps screaming we need aid while at the same time celebrating for basic infrastructure. Of course the country isn't going to grow , it's been 50 years and Bangladesh isn't still developed.

Most people in Bangladesh don't have hope for the country , so that's why they celebrate for basic things like proper infrastructure or basic ship building.

Bangladesh is a nation that dreams of becoming developed while at the same time not putting enough effort into it.

Other Bangladesh's may say " MUH HUH WE MAKE MEDICINE AND AL DEVELOPED THIS SHITHOLE" but for me I don't see that much improvement in Bangladesh compared to 90s Bangladesh.

Same sHithole with minor improvements , that's how I see Bangladesh

When your economy is based around mostly fk making clothes and exporting fish , good luck cause any other tech related manufacturing in Bangladesh needs foreign support or tools.
