Bangladesh says ‘hi’ to first nano-satellite

. .
Congrats folks...

<rant> BTW @Bilal9 So this is supposed to impress us?

Indian universities have made better satellites? So?

How many hungry people could have eaten with the amount of money wasted in these stupid 'microsat' bullsh*t showcase projects?

The only people who are impressed are your brainless ilk....

These 'cheap' buggers (as you would put it) could build your vaunted microsat in hours probably.. http://adtl.co.in/index.html

If BD does not intend to have smaller launch vehicles like Indians then there is no point in this kind of project. This is fairly simple to make with some camera in it and some transponder (?)to communicate.

I have no idea what you're referring too. We don't have any small satellite launch vehicles like the Naro 1 or the Electron. That's why we are piggybacking so many on the PSLV.

I don't know what was the intent of your message. What was the payload size and weight?
PS: SpaceX will be a lot more cheaper than any other in near future, but, like I mentioned before, don't forget the size of satellite in discussion here.

2.4 tonnes to GTO/ 5 to LEO at present. 4+ tonnes to GTO in the near future at a cost of $40 million (GSLV Mark III)

i think you are quite wrong here.............this couple of million dollar would have fed some poor mouth...but as usual wasting money on false PR and pride is more important than this so called BS of launching nano-sat ...only Bee Dees had any shame

And please also tell how much money such satellite costs??

If you're thinking it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, you're wrong.
It is just off the shelf hardware packed in 10cm cube and that is it.

And who going consider the launch cost??
This BS is to install false pride

LOL! Seriously? You're thinking dedicated Saturn or Proton or Vulcan will be used to launch it, isn't it?

This BS is to install false pride
This is just an educational or amateur project that will towed to space with courtesy of some big launch. There is always an ample space on sides of bigger Satellites. What is wrong in doing it if it doesn't cost you much but you still get some reasonable info. America spent millions on weather balloons to photograph soviets and it is much better version of that thing; think of intel it will return. It is zero cost I think.
