Bangladesh remittances rise 10 pct in 2011/12

In the government jobs it is 3000 RS. But the government only rarely hires non-Saudis and at that it is for specialized areas which need a certain level of education and skill which may not be present in the Unemployed Saudis applying for that job.

In the Private sector, private companies have their own rings of bribery, blackmail and all sorts of dirty sleazy tactics to get the government ministries responsible for laws to sway in their favor. For example there are many Unemployed Saudis who have all the necessary Educations and Skills to penetrate the private sector completely, however in private companies logic it is more in line of "Why hire a Saudi with a 10,000RS wage when I can hire a foreigner for 5,000RS or even 3,000 RS?". This discrimination have led Saudis to say the popular saying "We are foreigners in our own damn country" which for a while until many of those laws changed due to Arab spring many Saudis didn't like foreigners very much. Which is also why most Saudis would take jobs in the Public sector over the Private one because many think of it as "Fair".

Just like you we do have our set of problems with corruption etc. but I have faith that the new laws will decrease this phenomenon.

dear its started from 200 riyals and go on to thousands . but i would like to add here some humans work and get nothing just nothing trust me :frown:

I agree with you completely. This low wage is unacceptable and inhumane. But we are talking about the corrupt and sleazy Private companies here who do the hiring as I pointed out earlier. They are greedy to the Maximum and they do not only damage foreign workers but they also damage Saudi citizens equally. Many of our unemployed are educated and have college degrees etc. but they don't hire them because they will demand higher salaries than their equally educated foreign counterparts.

In fact those private companies are the ones responsible for spreading the myth of "Saudis are unskilled and uneducated and can not be used in the work force" which can't be further from the truth, only so they can save money on wages.

What I am saying is, it is in General the Saudi government's fault first and foremost for failing to meet the needs of both Saudi and Expat communities in KSA due to corruption, laws can be changed to be more fair for all but a couple of hundred thousands under the table here and there can get you whatever law that you want to maximize profit.

on one side unemployment and other side big fishes and those whom have contacts are getting visas in huge numbers i can see its flood of pakistani visas these days everyone have 4-5 and some have 40-50 too for sale damn daily 747 of pia landed in riyadh jeddah two times :P why not just stop it and think for a while give jobs and good life first damn in hand why thousands new visas

I don't know how relevant it is for Saudi Arabia but in United States or Canada, no company can offer any foreigner less than the average salary of the United States for particular type of Job. That's how they make sure that any company will not opt for foreigner when an American is available. Also they allow the workers to switch jobs if they find a better offer and the worker does not need any permission from the employer. That's how they maintain the fairness in the job market. Why not Saudi implement this rules which will create a level playing field for both Saudi and the expatriate workers?

Which is why you should look at my other post. Where I put the blame 100% on the Saudi government. When the Cabinet was discussing to do away with the unfair and ridiculous sponsorship system, Private companies had a fit and they start to systemically fire Saudi citizens as a threat to the government by increasing unemployment especially at this time. So right now I don't know what is the future of these new law if it will be passed or not.

This is what I am saying Imran. Private companies in KSA are devil incarnated. Greed have eaten them alive. And worst of all they have so much power in the government as well.

also companies owners are in every big place and they have influence on gov work too :P

I need to add, in UAE they really made some massive reform in employment laws. Now our officials can verify the visa online. The employer have to pay the salary to the bank account, also the employers have to provide job contract to the employees before they fly. Some issues arose when the employers started forcing the job seeker to sign a new contract after the arrival. But when it was raised to the UAE government, now the contract will be online too.

Corruption is so bad that a head of a company can pass any law he sees fit to maximize his profit while he is in office. It doesn't get worse than this.

Well as a Saudi I only wants the culprits to be brought to Justice. Saudi Diplomats are being targeted all over the world. From Yemen to African nations (but gladly those hits were failures) to South Asia to South East Asia.

I just want our diplomats and citizens to feel safe and not feel the need to wear a bullet proof vest at all times in every country. And the only way this can happen is by speedy delivery of Justice by host nations... Unfortunately the way I see it Bangladeshi government have failed so far to deliver, We even sent our own investigation team but Bangladesh refused to co-operate with them.

Well about what is fair or not it is all about contracts which wages in there are specified. Local recruiting agencies maybe giving false promises etc. but in KSA breaking of contract is a serious offense.

When will Saudi's get co-operation from Bangladesh govt. for their own investigation team? When will we see some results in delivery of justice?

If our law enforcements wing wish, they can give you the culprits within few hours. Unfortunately, they are not capable at this moment. Bangladesh govt. didn't fail rather acting so. If they cooperate with Saudi team, there's high likely that your team will find our govt. the main mastermind behind the diplomat murder.

.
Not really.

It is just that the demand of manual labor has gone down. There are changes in trend. Demand for young professionals are pretty high over there now.

lol you sure put a lid on his paranoia

if common people on the streets have such knowledge don't you think the saudi govt knows this already? if the killers are identified, why the need of an investigation team?

The issue we are talking about is not an WYSIWYG editor...we type and get published instantly, it's an international diplomatic issue. Saudi govt. will wait for BD govt.'s official report on it not on common peoples' knowledge. If ultimately they don't get the report , something bad will come as the effect of it. Don't expect that they will do that shouting loudly against us, they have many keys. If you have the eyes, you surely will feel everything. Just an instance, do you know that our foreign minister's visa was first denied when she was visiting KSA after the murder of diplomat? Is it possible a minister is denied visa whereas any red passport holder of BD can anytime move anywhere in the world. I've seen one PS of an MP who visits anytime anywhere let alone minister. Does that mean something to you?

What Saudi govt. knows already or doesn't know isn't a big issue...thing is everyone is waiting for a report from investigation team. It's a civilized society out here in BD not a jungle and within this time there should have been a minimum lead visible on the murder.
