What's new

Bangladesh ranks (86th) ahead of India (103rd) and Pakistan (106th) in Global Hunger Index

Let yourselves pay 300-500% import duty on cars like we do and see how many cars you manage to sell in Pakistan.

The rest of your post isn't worth sparing thoughts about.

That idiot also misquoted one thing that is only 5000 cars sold in Bangladesh where as the figure is now 25k to 30k. People are buying motorbikes in big number though.

Putting Bangladesh down is a hobby in some troll circles, but one can't hide the truth for long.

These are butt hurt people. Once upon a time someone said, BD was a drain on someone's resources, as such a burden. The someone also said, BD is a low lying land with low class people. I wouldn't be happy if I said that and then the low people came out on top. As time passes by the butt hurt will only increase, currently they are in denial, then they will be outraged and then they will accept it. It's only a matter of time.

25,000 cars & 300,000 motorcycles sold annually is really huge folks....

Idiot that number was for cars with 300-800% import duty. People here in Bangladesh dont buy a 1 lakh rupee tata Nano car.

Yeah keep harping about that moron. While the sales of luxury cars in India (Merc,BMW,Audi,JLR) exceed the sales of JDM cars in Bangladesh.

Also try googling about the percentage of kei cars sold in Japan- the same market from where you import those second hand jalopies from.

And BTW how many motorcycles are sold annually in your country ? 3.6 lakh.

It's 20 million in India & 2 million in Pakistan.

Should I say anything more...?

More than 1000 motorcycles are sold each day in BD.

That's 365,000. I said 3.6 lakh.

What's the difference ?

OK. I did not see that part of 3.6 lakh.
You must understand that some people that can afford motorbikes will be discouraged by lack of road infrastructure in BD which is now being remedied.
Anyway no BD'shi denies that the average Pakistani and Indian has more wealth as only recently BD has caught up in GDP per capita.

You haven't caught up, you still lag in GDP per capita (PPP).

For the 100th time - shouldn't you guys be comparing yourselves with China instead of little Bangladesh? See where you stand then.

Auqat doesn't go very far....

You don't see any Indian member claiming that the Chinese are three decades behind India in smart manufacturing/ luxury car sales/ warship design...Do you ?

BD has pretty much caught up with Pakistan in GDP per capita PPP and will overtake within the next few years.
India is much further ahead but we need to wait for BD to rebase GDP to same year as India. Remember the figures are slightly odd as BD is ahead of India by nearly 20 points in the 2018 Global Hunger Index just published.
