Bangladesh overtakes India in per capita GDP: IMF

Even GDP per capita of Chittagong is above 3200 USD, so simply claiming that Bangladeshi GDP rising now is a statistical anomaly is nothing but a coping mechanism for Indians.

Actually I meant to say 50 million for the whole Division.

Dhaka itself may be near your figure but no way the whole Division itself.

BD whole country per capita is growing really well and now at 2000 US dollars.
Remember though on purchasing power BD is still around 25% behind India and so the average Indian is still less poor than the average BD'shi.

You sure you’re not a product of illegal bengalis? :D I remember pole vaulting into your mom

Not really, statistics are just raw data.

India suffers from severe income disparity and all that PPP GDP per capita is not evenly distributed.

The 1% hold most of India's wealth, more do than in Bangladesh.

Average Bangladesh is just all well off as average Indian, if not more.

Modi probably working overtime to fudge the numbers to make India look better to no avail, but I doubt as there is no room for fuzzy math anymore after Modi fudged GDP data so many times !

From 2020-2021 India will actually decrease. If India's GDP decreased by 10.3% in 2020 and it rebounds by 8.8% in 2021, which means it will be a total decrease in two years.
Not in $ terms as same IMF predicts that Indian currency will strengthen against $.

That's not how it works, let's not sugarcoat. The GDP total increase INCLUDES conversion rates. India will decrease in those two years, whether you like it or not according to these predictions.

They can't bear the harshness of reality.

This didn't happen magically, it was inevitable.

Clearly you don't understand how GDP is calculated. It is always calculated in local currencies and converted into dollars. As Indian rupee increase in value, it'll offset the decline in growth. You'll see it showing in the next IMF April 2021 database. Wait for it.

You have become a bit of Joker pasting the same thing over and over again. You have zero understanding except for headlines of the articles. Don't embarrass yourself further.

Oh and a keyboard warrior like you does ? Are your credentials even in the commerce field ?

Indians are all over the place, since the past week, scurrying around like annoying children trying their best at damage control to no avail.

If this news was fake, why all the furore ?

Go figure.

Don't start name-calling, I can do better than you, but I won't, keep it civil.

Besides, why would I be embarrassed ? I'm enjoying this little charade, watching you toil hour after hour to counter our narrative and save what littles left of your country's image.

@idune Bhai sahab, why BAL cheerleader ( Indian stooge by default) like @DalalErMaNodi is fighting against India and it's citizens day and night in almost every thread ?

Couldn't it be another trick from this BAL regime to sell Bangladesh to India?

Shouldn't we be worried bhaijan ? :undecided:

You would need a degree in economics and not commerce to understand this. Tch...tch.. tch

I said 'field', seeing as what stream you take in 10th dictates what field you study in; science or commence, hence I used the word 'commerce'.

But you wanna get cute with semantics, you do you.

And Dhaka Division has a GDP per capita of 7700+ USD, highest in South Asia.

This is factually incorrect and a number without any valid source, Maybe in the sub continent but certainly not in South Asia, A simple research would suffice before making such bold statements

The per capita income of Colombo Metro area stood at US$8623 and purchasing power per capita of $25,117, making it one of the most prosperous regions in South Asia.[43]

This in 2010
