forget all that... if you can make allies with myanmar that would be of great help to both of us both economically and strategically and we can also add nepal and bhutan so that trade between these countries flourish and we can invest in each other

See our all military, Air and Naval institutions, where many foreign officers are comming and getting their training. Remember to build your army first build your training institution. You want to compare your army with us. Look, our army's organisation is much more modern than Indian army. Our army is organised in line with NATO, we had been member of CENTO, SEATO. Earlier we had a Defence Pact with USA, Australia and UK. Though these pacts were made during Pakistan's time but still it has an impact. Indian army !!!, it had been re-organised in that day. Indian army is a big army, you just cannot re-organised within a short spun of time. Look at the Indian Navy, its Aircraft Carriers has become a junk and has become a burden !!!!!!!!!!!!!

you just cannot compare Bd army with Indian army.. They are from a different league. Just leave them.. They have numerical and technological superiority.

Once War is over everyone will try to extend hand to Afghanistan for an ally that is different matter.

for the time being its high time for BD to join hands with China that is going to strengthen BD not only in trade but also in defence

If India was solely being promoted, then how come China overtook India in buying stuff from Bangaldesh?

In international relationship no one can be fully ignored...china is one of the most important country in the world and bangladesh knows it and it always maintained raltion with it but relationship could be more close with china during this BAL hasiina government. But this BAL hassina's government mainly cause of some indian stooge namely mashiur and rizvi promoted india centric foreign policy. Sold dream like making bangladesh like singapore by giving transit to india, getting equal share of water, barrier free access to india of bangladeshi products, selling 10 taka kg rice to the people. But nothing has happened and most of the deal is nothing but failure and whole bd people has watched what has happened in the last 2-3 years regarding the so called indian centric foreign policy.

Hope you got it what type of india centric foreign policy this BAL has promoted so far and why they are going to pay a big price in the next election.

N do not talk like foolish. India also import a big amount of goods from china but it does not mean both has a very good relation and same also goes with us-china.

Unfortunately, Bangladesh seems to have problems with Myanmar.

Myanmar is flush with petroleum, timber, tin, antimony, zinc, copper, tungsten, lead, coal, marble, limestone, precious stones, natural gas, hydropower and all this could have been put to good use by Bangladesh.

i dont think there are any territorial issues.. i am sure there is a lack of convergence on certain issues which i dont know much about.

Bangladesh has already plan to improve relation with Myanmar... by making link to china by road and train through myanmar, and also with south east asia, leasing myanmar's land to produce food grain at a relatively lower rate. But the recent marine boundary dispute may create some problem. It needs to be resolved diplomatically.

China is a big source military equipment. It is not because Bangladesh is an ally, it is because they are cheap.
