ah my bad. but she did follow through. Arbitration was a long process, right?
My point was there is no difference in what pakistan did(they took us to arbitration on issue of water sharing) and bangladesh did, so Indian influence does not make much difference.
Only in case of bd, they understand mutual benefit and quid pro quo but in case of pakistan we end up in stalemate(both India and pak are responsible for it)
yes,she did.But I don't think she had much other options either. The Arbitration was already half way their. AND backtracking from the arbitration was going to be a political suicide.
Even if they got just a little bite from the cookie,they could proclaim it as a huge achievement.While if they backtrack,they are doomed.The opposition would have got a massive upper-hand on them,and they would not have hesitated to use that.
