Bangladesh Coast Guard to procure Hovercrafts

Funny post. Only UK makes Hovercrafts that could fit BD’s requirements, so why request multiple proposals from the countries listed, some of which don’t even make hovercrafts. Another scam to cover up corruption in a done deal through third parties.

Not true. Russians are huge on hovercraft of ALL sizes and they make humongous hovercraft that the Americans never matched. And you don't know what the BCG requirement is - if it is medium or just small patrol hovercraft. Lot of other countries like China and Japan are also big on hovercraft making.

Large Russian Navy Hovercraft of "Zubr" class

This is a Chinese hovercraft called "Heihe" and probably fits the BCG requirement just fine.

PLAN also operates military transport hovercraft like the US Marine's LCAC's (these carry military trucks and armored APC's for shore invasion duties)

The craft you mentioned as "This is a Chinese hovercraft called "Heihe"" is actually Russian made Irbis-32 with building #002 that was sold to Chinese operator by Russian manufacturer Neptune.

In Canada, I'm manufacturing 9 and 12 persons Search & Rescue amphibious transformers ATASD that are a combination of hovercrafts, airboats and inflatable rafts technologies

Well Interesting! Nice to know. :-)

Maybe you can approach our Coast Guard and give them a proposal for CKD or SKD kit manufacturing.

The Irbis-32/"Heihe" class is the same size (maybe a bit smaller) than the ones Griffon Hoverwork in the UK made for the Indian Coast Guard or ICG (six ordered). The ICG craft feature about 46 seats and are used for SAR rescue duties.

I am sure Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) is probably looking for the same size.

I am sure if you help set up assembly from SKD kits in Bangladesh yards they'd be interested.

Two of the ICG hovercraft were fabricated in the UK and four were assembled from SKD kits at Garden Reach Shipyards in Kolkata, India. These are videos for the ICG craft,

Here is a Griffon Hoverwork video brochure,

Yes, ATASD can be produced at our partner's US facilities and supplied as a CKD or SKD kit, declared as "Made in USA". The only one and the major problem is to reach decision making authorities of Coast Guard for sending them a proposal.

The DGDP (Directorate General for Defence Purchases) contact addresses were given in a former post in this thread. Please take a look. DGDP will select and purchase these, not the Coast Guard. Your offer of ToT will be taken seriously. Navy and Coast Guard have several large and medium sized captive yards to assemble/build even Corvette sized vessels.

ATASD itself is too small and a recon platform it seems. I believe the Coast Guard in Bangladesh is looking for much larger SAR platform like the ones I detailed about -similar to Indian Coast Guard UK-made ones, supplied by Griffon.

Here is some info about the Coast Guard in Bangladesh:
