Bangdeshis 3rd largest group of tourists to India in 2010


Bangladeshis were the third largest group of foreign tourists visiting India in 2010, according to an item published in the Economic Times recently, quoting the Indian ministry of tourism. Bangladeshis constituted 7.48 per cent of all foreign tourists visiting India in 2010. Americans topped the total tourist influx (16.12 per cent), followed by those from the UK (13.15 per cent). Six countries together accounted for 50 per cent of foreign arrivals in 2010. Nationals of Sri Lanka, Canada and Germany constituted the fourth, fifth and sixth largest groups of tourists visiting India in that year. — FE Report

Dont let your negative impression of Bangladeshis from PDF affect your views on actual Bangladeshis in real life. Most of the Bangladeshis here are the Muslim Ummah kind, and they are in no way representative of most real Bangladeshis. If most Bangladeshis were like the ones here in PDF, not a single Bangladeshi would come to India as a tourist, but in reality BD is the 3rd most of all nations.

On topic: Bangladeshis are of course welcome as long as it is through legal channels. Hope the tourists are having a great time
