The plane crashed at Bukbhora Baor of Chandutia village of the district around 9pm on Sunday after it took off from the BAF Base Matiur Rahman, according to Abul Bashar Miah, inspector (investigation) of Jashore Kotwali Police Station. The rescue work was delayed by rains.

Local Union Parishad member Golam Mustafa said they heard two loud bangs and saw a plane plunging into the water and oil floating on the water.

No one from the Inter Services Public Relation Directorate or ISPR was immediately available for comment.

Damn shame, the aircraft is pretty good so this may be due to pilot error.

Let's wait for the report to be sure though.

This k-8 accident happened at a time when BAF is in the process of buying a few other K-8 training aircraft from China.

Chinese plane. It has quite a bad history. 7+ crashes 10 years.

It's a trainer, having a higher than usual crash rate is expected. Inexperienced pilots are more prone to mistakes.

both pilots died trying to save the aircraft...nd i dont think it was pilots fault..nd both are squadron leader,so they were experienced as well..

Asalamu Alaikum

Let's wait for the report. Experienced pilots can still make mistakes.

Well we needed an Airfirce to bomb the crap out of a terror outfit named "Mukti Bikini" or bahini or whatever that shit was called.
Seems like you still hold too much hatred for Mukti Bahini, and that hatred extended to Bangladesh in general. Not good for your health.
