What's new

BAF jets to escort aircraft carrying President Xi on his visit to Dhaka

Lol..... this is the same guy on the world hunger index list thread claimed that despite BD doing better than India and being ranked above is infact doing worse because the rate of improvement by India is better.
Enough said... poor hindutva goons suffers profound existential crisis whenever faced with anything other than RSS propaganda.
Haha.

But you can consider them as hard loans

Like I thought. The scarcity of FDI in BD continues. No one wants to shoulder the risk it seems. Gulshan has not helped I would imagine.

All the best Bangladesh. I hope you sign great investment and trade deals with China. Bangladesh's time is now to rise.

Absolutely, as I said you can consider the $13 billion investments made by Chinese firms in our SEZs as hard loans to soothe your ***!

Meanwhile in India,

India’s industrial output contracts 0.7 per cent as mining, manufacturing slows
It’s a long haul for India’s exports

Don't worry about India, there are IIP volatility issues that have to be sorted out given increasing complexity of the economy (we dont just make unidimensional RMG underwear).

We are welcoming around 30 - 40 billion USD worth of Greenfield investment (on FDI basis) every 6 months.

Of course such terms only serve to confuse someone from a single digit patent producing country who can only go soppy-eyed at any figure next to billions without understanding what it means. But it is clear to anyone who follows the world economy, BD is quite foreign investment starved compared to its population. As long as RMG and basic civil infra gives traction, its fine...its when you approach consumption levels that will not be LDC level that the larger fundamental problems will materialise in being a low-FDI country and low-education quality country.

So keep chest-thumping about low quality loans (that you must repay and hope to god have good multiplier effect and transfer efficiency) while we get way more than even that in high quality FDI in 10 times+ shorter time periods.

Hopefully the private companies these loans are being given to in BD have competent Indian professionals managing and running them since I wouldn't trust BD people with this (given the state of education and professionalism in BD), just like BD people with means do not trust their own country's doctors.

These are just some hotchpotch statements from politicians and ruling-party leaning sold out scholars to sway gullible people, the general nature of Indians obviously helps them!

The truth is your economy is falling, your exports have been in a rapid decline for almost two years continuously, your industry sector is witnessing a situation worse than the recession of 2008 while both your neighbors Bangladesh and Pakistan is set to ride on a double-digit economic growth, receiving investments from China.

Uh huh, yup. Guess UNCTAD, IMF, World Bank, WEF and myriad others are all lying in concert when talking about the FDI India receives (that form the basis of the govt releases)....and the economic growth measured at IMF provided and vetted guidelines.

Anyway live in your RMG dominated world celebrating each small road and power plant like its a massive 22nd century achievement or beyond financed by loans and not genuine FDI. You obviously have no mental fortitude to discuss on any plane above that. BD STRONK :D

Pakistan is getting CPEC and Bangladesh is receiving Chinese and Japanese investments worth dozens of billion dollars! We all are set to witness an economic boom while India will keep struggling to learn to use toi... uh, you know what I mean! :D

You are a butthurt, accept that! :D

Yes "dozens of billions of dollars" indeed. No wonder you claim you can use toilets (when you obviously cant seeing how dumb you are), the stuff you lot are smoking (or just the general malnourished low brains to begin with) must be extra strong.

BUT BBS STATS STRONK! BD STRONK! LOANS (who cares about FDI?!?!?) ARE AWESOME! Don't question why BD people do not trust their Doctors one bit for anything important...but flee at first opportunity to India. JUST BELIEVE THE DATA BD PUTS OUT

Reality and self-imposed fantasies are fun to contrast for 170 million hemmed into a tiny piece of swamp.

"At this occasion, Prime Minister Abe announced to provide 600 billion Yen (approximately US$6 billion), mainly in ODA loans, in 4 to 5 years."

Surprise Surprise! NO FDI.

Loan dependent GCF is quite a slippery slope. Hope Indian professionals and govt manage it well for BD given the human capital deficit in BD (leading to over-reliance on Indian expats for anything that requires non-RMG/paddy planting based thought process).

@alaungphaya

Only a low IQ nerd like you will just see the amount of loans.

Read the whole article to know about the initiative!
Bangladesh top investment destination for Japanese cos: JETRO

Cherry picking "ratings" processed through a BD media site....and actual UNCTAD and WEF based FDI realisation is the difference between BD and India in a nutshell....just like the difference between clickbait and on the ground facts. (Its also the reason why BD people flee their country in droves when they need something done medically.)

I mean does Bangladesh EVEN REGISTER in JETRO spreadsheets of FDI investment at the bottom of this page?:

https://www.jetro.go.jp/en/reports/statistics/

But but but ODA loans!!!!:rofl::rofl:

Not even regular loans, friggin ODA...how sad is that? LDC-desh zindabaad.

As I said, a low IQ nerd without any analytical ability from the Shittyistan!

You haven't really read about the BIG-B initiative, I suggest, don't, it will just make you even more of a butthurt! :D

An ODA-financed brochure-savvy "project" that does not REGISTER anywhere in the actual JETRO official spreadsheet FDI wise just doesn't pump mah nads so to speak

I have seen dozens of such in LDC or near LDC countries world over and what actually materialises from such ODA loans in any fundamental way past political largesse and related special interests (given corrupt inefficient govts are always the instrument).

You calling me names just adds the icing on top of you being unable to present any base-level data, sources and analysis past "but but look at what BD media is saying waaaah".

Anyway I have reached today's quota of engaging with lungi-RMG wallahs like you, ciao.
