You can pick and choose incidents to your liking. So can I, but I wont because it's a waste of time. Countries don't outrightly interfere in conflicts. They provide military and other assistance through backdoor channels. China did their part like they always have.

Fact of the matter is that China has always helped Pakistan in time of need when many have only paid lip-service. We as Pakistanis know this like no body else. I don't need a God damn Indian telling me who my friends or foes are. Pakistanis are perfectly capable of knowing that themselves.

You blame China for the current lack of trade relations with Pakistan? You're nuts. This failure can only be attributed to the inept and incompetent Pakistani civilian leadership. Heck, who would invest in a country where aid and loans are given more preference over trade and standing on your own feet? Don't blame China.

Firstly, Pakistan doesn't yet qualify to enter BRICS. Even if it did, Pakistan has many other strengths which can enable it to prosper and develop. China is indeed the key in enabling Pakistan to tap this potential. BRICS isn't the end of the world. In fact, it's only a club of nations that have recently enjoyed some level of boom.

Trust me, there is no bigger banana republic than India. A country which is only a democracy tiger on paper. We all know the real face of mother India. It is not a pretty one. Needless to even go in details.

Stop making up conspiracy theories. It's well-documented that China is a threat to Western hegemony. China is advancing at a rate which is causing unease and concern in certain Western capitals to put it very mildly.

I'm not cheer-leading. I support China over India. China is our ally. India isn't. It's common-sense for Pakistanis to support China in all their disputes and matters. Just like you suck up to countries that are of interest to you.

China is just a threat perception, and an excuse to get defence technology. That's all.. 60 years after Independence.. 50 years ruled by congress has taken a toll on our forces, i wont get into detail but i can give you 1 example, is that our last Defence Minister has art background and how congress let Dassault Hijack Rafael deal is astonishing to say atleast, more detail on Indian Section..
i hope con-gress govt never allowed to come into power for atleast 100 years.. our forces have suffered enough.. scams upon scams from defence scams to telecom scams con-gress made billions $$..
now time has changed. our forces have faith and trust on new DM n PM of this country.. This isn't just business as usual as some might argue. This is indeed a clear signal to China. The West arms certain countries to the teeth and wonders why there is an arms race in regions of the world.

On a different note, China wouldn't be too concerned about this deal. China has the means and ability to counter such threats very effectively.

What a silly notion, India isn't being gifted this equipment and BAE aren't offering such equipment on a whim, the Indian army has presented a need for such equipment and BAE is making its offer known, there is not some global conspiracy at work.

It looks like BAE are trying to break the deadlock by taking advantage of the "make in India" incentives (although some of the guns were always going to have to be made in India) and thus potentially saving the deal from being scuppered. Let's see what the MoD does, if they are serious about the Military's modernisation efforts they will grab this deal with both hands.

It wasn't a licence production deal, that's even one of the issues, since the production line of the M777 has stopped and if we order it, it needs to be restarted abroad again. If we had a licence production line, the whole production would had started only in India, but let's not forget the US angle in this case, which might be the bigger issue on offsets.
