Backing trip

Hello...In light of recent events i thought i would just check to get some more opinions regarding safety with my planned backpacking trip. I am planning to go overland from Iran into Pakistan. Will be crossing at Taftan at the beginning of July and will pass through Quetta on the way to Lahore and then onto the KKH. Would like to spend a night or 2 in Quetta if security situation allows?? I have heard through Western media of Anti-American protests there following BL´s death??

My Visa is stamped so i´m coming anyway but any help, information, advice would be apreciated. Thanks again!

Quetta might be a little iffy, just because the situation in Balochistan is not well right now. But if you keep to yourself then you won't have an issue there, once you get to Lahore/KKH you'll be fine. Anti-American sentiment is high in Pakistan, but I'm assuming you're not American so you have nothing to worry about.

enlighten me sir, whats the rate of killing a foreigner and what the rate of kidnapping a foreigner in Baluch belt? or kindly tell me how many bullets were found from the body of a dead major two days ago ?

If I go by news, you should be more worried about kidnapping and being caught in random violence than anything else. There has been no news of americans being targeted yet.

Please tell me abt it?when was the last real foreigner murdered in baluchistan??????/// Also quetta is a multi ethnic city........ while the so called baluch belt is still calmer than quetta....... the murder of the soldier could very well involve bastard drug smuglers.

ii) If you meet people smile and say 'Pakistan Zinda-baad'iii) Do not pretend or show your supreme than others or being a tourist you have certain superiority.
iv) Do not mean business or talk about current issues.
Plues, I gurantee you, if your wise, you will enjoy as much that will force you to re-visit this nation again.
