A Current Affair has uncovered an elaborate network of warehouses that pack and send pallet loads of baby formula to China.

In an extensive investigation involving hours of undercover surveillance, A Current Affair’s crew filmed a Coles delivery van dropping off tins of baby formula to one of the warehouses.

A Current Affair also follows two women to their home where their garage is packed full of baby formula.

Later, a van from the nearby warehouse drops by to pick up loads of boxes.

A Current Affair’s crew finds clusters of the warehouses, streets apart in suburban industrial estates. The network is run by staff of Asian appearance who often prefer to remain off the radar even though there is nothing illegal about this conduct.

When reporter Tineka Everaardt confronted those operating the packing centres, they often flee to the back of the warehouse, or shout at the crew to switch the camera off.

The investigation, which airs at 7pm tonight, blows the lid on the way in which daigous operate to clear the shelves in Australia’s supermarkets.

Those who film the daigous are often abused in the footage that will air on A Current Affair tonight.

Adele Barbaro, who runs a mummy blog The Real Mumma, supplied A Current Affair with stunning footage from her local supermarket that shows daigous raiding the shelves.

“There’s a two-tin limit at my local supermarket, and that seems to be two tins per minute,” she said.

“These 20, 25 people, are running in, buying two tins, running around the corner to a lady that’s ready to go with shopping trolleys or a man ready to go with the boot open and piling it in.”

A Current Affair discovered the sneaky tactics some are going to, to get their hands on the coveted baby formula. (9news)

A Current Affair also speaks with a Coles worker who sheds fresh light on the tactics of daigous in getting around the supermarket chains two-tin limit.

“They will even change their clothes to buy more baby formula so the staff will not recognise them,” the Coles worker told A Current Affair.

“It’s gotten to a point I never thought I would see it reach with the lengths people are going to obtain it.”

I am not going to question the authenticity of this news, but looks like Australian Government is facing "China Hysteria" just like the United States.

.
Is baby formula part of Australia national security? Or Australian troops is depending on baby powder to stay in tip top combat condition?

. .
Chinese trying to divert attention, why smuggle baby formula? Maybe because China are thieves? Or maybe because they can't produce their own baby formula? Either way, China should be embarrassed.

Chinese don't trust their own food safety.

I don't care if the Chinese eat rats, but they shouldn't be stealing baby formula from other countries, they claim to be the best at this and that yet can't make baby formula? Such a disgraceful country.

So Australia white stealing aborigini land and murdering them is not embarrassing?

At least we acknowledge the crimes committed against the Indigenous people of Australia and give them all the benefits we can, not our fault most of them are drug addicts and glue sniffers.

Acknowledge but doing little is no different from no acknowledge. What's make you better? Let me ask you one question. Did Australia never steal?

Unfortunately in China money is above everything and that includes others safety. If a company sees a shortcut to save a little they are likely to do it no matter what the outcome. While we know most Chinese products are cheap junk their companies sell even worse versions to their own people because there really isn't any consumer rights groups to complain to. Chinese people are simply accustomed to being screwed so companies just take advantage of it.
DJI selling drones in China that would have failed quality control tests for overseas markets.

Now don't be too harsh. It's actually hysteria buying, after the melamine scare, even after Chinese improved the quality supervision, people don't trust the local brands anymore, so they want imported milk powder. Even though foreign brands were also using those tainted milk for their local production. The problem is tariff and imports control, China don't allow foreign brands to enter Chinese market. Do you know they will earn billions if they are allowed in, this is one place Trump should demand opening, it will explode the market.

Yep, Chinese in Australia are disgusting for stealing and that too baby powder, unbelievable how low Chinese are, for a so-called great power not being able to feed your own babies is disgusting, they have to resort to stealing from others.

.
This has been going on for some time. What I don't understand is why the formula companies are not capitalizing on this and legally exporting baby formula to China?

How do they get it into China if there is an import control - these guys look like they have warehouses full being transported?

Also what's Australia's problem - why can't they produce more? I thought they'd be delighted that these people are facilitating international sales for them.

The word 'stealing' is quite inappropriate, they are paying for the products.
