Baba Ramdev at Vande Mataram: India must boycott China economically

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Saturday strongly urged the people of the country to boycott Chinese products after China blocked India's bid to list Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. Speaking on IndiaTV's mega conclave on terrorism - 'Vande Mataram', Ramdev said: "The biggest state sponsor of Pakistan terror is China. India must unite in rejecting Chinese products. If we reject their products, soon China will pull its support from Pakistan and kneel before us."

Defying global opposition to terrorism, China vetoed sanctions against Masood Azhar, extending cover to him and Pakistan that protects him. China was the only Security Council member to oppose the proposal.

The proposal to designate Azhar under the 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions Committee was moved by France, UK and the US on February 27 in wake of the horrendous terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama that left 40 CRPF personnel dead.

With China blocking India's bid to list Masood Azhar as a global terrorist, the call for banning Chinese products has renewed in India.

"People keep chanting Vande Mataram but decorate their houses with Chinese products. It is time common people do their due for the country," Ramdev, who is also the founder of Patanjali Ayurved, said.

Ramdev went on to say that India must continue its attack on the terror camps in Pakistan.

"India must act against terror camps in Pakistan and kill Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed," he said.

"We have to act against 'Anatankistan' thriving within Pakistan. Terrorism cannot be wiped unless we attack its root," he added.

Meanwhile, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind General Secretary Maulana Mahmood Madani, who was present at the session alongside Ramdev, said India should isolate countries supporting Pakistan.

"We have to isolate those who support Pakistan-based terrorists and act against them," Madani said.

"Pakistan is forming state-sponsored terror groups to attack India," he added.

.
Not going to happen now, but eventually Chinese trade gap must be addressed, if China do not start reciprocating then high tariffs and toning down of diplomatic exchanges will happen from India.

For us it is just a decade or decade and half to achieve parity or atleast become a heavy weight vis-a-vis China.

What does India produce that China wants to import in such quantities so as to 'address' the trade gap?

India is in no position to threaten as they have no leverage no bargaining chip.

Production sector has just took off under 'Make in India'. India is in the first place to attract FDI's.

One of the faces of saffron terror in India. I recently watched a video YouTube recommended me in which he said Muslims’ job is to kill and only to kill, and saying Hindus should understand it is Muslim nature and they have no choice but to fight them.

Actually, I doubt India is first place in FDI. The U.S., China, and sometimes Japan are usually first place.

But what does India make now that China wants in large quantities to balance bilateral trade?

I have been listening to this for at least at a decade from the indians on and off the internet.

The reality is that india has been doing gdp calculation revisions and jobless gdp growth and stagnant exports, and that too in an era of "economic friendly policies"

Almost all of consumer brands and moving up the chain, at a slow pace as of now.

India is big, it takes some time to pick up the pace. China started in 70's and they only picked up the pace in 2000's.

Could you give some examples? What are these brands? And what do they make? What specific progress have they made? And what do these Indian brands make that Chinese consumers would want to buy?

I have mentioned we are moving up the chain.

Many brands all over the world are setting up manufacturing plants here for export and Indian consumption. If I ask you how many chinese brands are there in china 15 years ego, what could be your answer?
