Azerbaijan's JF-17 Thunder Acquisition: Updates & Discussions

Doubt Azerbaijan will rely on Israeli systems for this one, Turkish systems will be dominant within aircraft, with exception of AESA, which will be Italian.
it all depends if they want to put in hms; a very strong possibility. plus elta has a very strong offerings which can work in that favour.

No Israeli tech will ever been anywhere near the JF-17. No country is that stupid to allow adversaries and possible future adversaries to come close to their equipment.

cause it's buying couple of jets from pak? LAWL.
and your assurance doesn't mean much
Neither does your ranting. Are you really that naive or dumb enough to believe Pakistan to going to allow any Israeli tech even on the same base as that of JF-17, than your delusions only supersede that of Indians.
Use common sense instead of spouting nonsense.

speaking like a true salesman......but it wont happen....lets just say PAC's salesmen wont be the only ones to allow that to ever happen.

Seriously, it is better to avoid indulging into things you have no clue about.

There are significant differences in subsystems between both versions. Some of it is available on the net as well.

There will be no SD-10 on it if Italian AESA is chosen.

Look once you sell it over; there is nothing technologically that is not do able with jf-17. Once you get ELta's engineers over, they can fit it to specifications. I have seen them do it with Mig-29's/23s/27s. Once it arrives in Baku, forget it - Isreali engineers will have close look

Do you know that when Pakistan was getting F-16s americans even objected on air conditioners that were chinese and would require some chinese presence, and inspected the whole place before block 52 were delivered and they still check the inventory. These rules are there to protect your asset and they dont change just because its now Pakistan selling JF-17. Once we sell it we can still check where it went and who is tampering with what just like i gave you the example of how the americans do it with our F-16s. What Elta can do with the jet is a moot point because Israeli would not be allowed to have a field day with the plane and than pass on the information to Indians.

pal, you are not americans. next jf-17 is from China which means isreal already knows what is inside it given how closely isreal and chinese cooperate on various technologies. if baku decides not to have your personnel to check, what can you do?
there are so many azeris' with isreali citizenship how are you going to get past it. look jf-17 is nothing highly classified is my point that you will be in that boat. already if burma is getting it; guess what indians will be having a close inspection or if you had sold it to sri-lanka same thing

One of the best things my friends in elta doto retrofit aircraft systems; any aircraft they can take it and redo. amazing .. just amazing place to work at

not to mention the only thing in common Azerbaijani and Pakistani version will have in common is the airframe and the engine, everything else will be specked out to Azerbaijan's requirements.

@denel hmd is a tech of past now new and better targeting tech is available and Turkey is providing it for F-35. Plus Azerbaijan is more of a Pakistani ally as well and Israel can inspect jf-17 in Myanmar because Israel has good relations with them than Azerbaijan. So no worries.

Turkey doesn't provide any technology for F-35, they, among few other countries are just given local production rights for some components.

Yes we are not that does not mean the end user agreements and clauses suddenly changes. Secondly no Indians could not get their hands either in Burma or Srilanka because Burma is already out of Indian influence and very much into Chinese sphere and as for Srilanka, Pakistan enjoys much more cordial relations which extends to military relations than India so hell no if India could ever get its hands on a JF-17 in Burma or Srilanka and Azerbaijan will no different either.
And yes JF-17 is nothing classified but so was the F-16. Block 52 have nothing that the Chinese would want as they are already operating a 5th generation platform and their J-10 is as good if not better than an F-16 yet end user restrictions were placed. Heck we cant even put the F-16s in the same exercise with the Chinese. So again my point is simple it does not matter whether seller is China or Pakistan because Pakistan is a 50 % partner as such our stakes and input are as important as anyone else. Besides do not forget that its in Pakistan where the Azerbaijan has shown interest and not China so it would be Pakistan that would be selling it and hence negotiating the terms and conditions and end user clauses etc.

. .
So aselpod which pakistan bought from turkey is for aaizerbaijan?
