Thunders will be sold with Chinese Engine

It is China/Pakistan plane with optional parts from Russia

Turks has influence on Azar as they share culture and heritage pac mad Haq is good example both bought not sure how much military influence exists between the two

We should sell Azerbaijan stuff they can use to drill the fear of Allah in Armenians.
Fully agreed and we can also get sniper Rifles from them they are making some good ones

What other country which placed an order ?? Is it Mian mar reference or some new potential order ??

Senegal, Nigeria, Myanmar, Pakistan. And we soon may see China fulfilling its obligation and ordering 150.

Sudan could be a good potential customer.

i wonder how a country could order an aircraft without even evaluating it .... first of all let the product come in to market ... once its there .... tons of possibilities could arise depending upon the performance of block 3

Sudan already went with JL9. Most likely customer on horizon will be Namibia.

China originally agreed to purchase, in writing, 150 FC-1s. Now that there is a Chinese engine ready, this seems more likely than before. I also don't know of China ever not respecting an agreement they made.

No friend, requirements evolve and similarly how J10 was never taken by PAF. It is ok, remember they already have a similar and more capable fighter in J10 vs jF-17.
However they have a large component of f-7s which need replacing as well as A-5s. It is very likely those low cost fighters will be replaced with JL-9 (like for like) or a lower probability with fc-1. Lets see, as they say with time comes wisdom.

Hi Denel, PAF never signed on the dotted line for the J-10 BUT China signed on the agreement to buy 150 FC-1s. And China has never broken its promises, unlike the US (Bretton Woods robbery, 1001 others)

Okay this News might be some what gaining some authenticity base on another news from The News report.

The story seems to be same all around

Close ties

If news reports are to be believed, Azerbaijan and Pakistan may sign an agreement in 2019 for the purchase of JF-17 Block 3 fighter jets. A representative of the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) told the media that “the configuration of JF-17 Block 3, which is of interest to Azerbaijan, is already at hand”. According to the representative, “the radar of the AESA system has been selected and in the near future, it will be tested”. The PAC representative said that the contract for this purchase can be signed in 2019. After this deal, relations between Baku and Islamabad are likely to reach new pinnacles.

The have purchased its trainer, one step before purchasing the selling country's fighter jet.

Highly likely, congrats to both

Per paf history book it was 100 by China and 150 by paf but this was before the delay caused Due to JF-17 avionics which were pac/paf responsibility and rest part of deal ie in 90s

I still think it will happen as there are 300-600 f-8, j-7 and a5 still with plaaf even j-6 Sqn or regiments exists in service

Ah okay, thanks for the correction. I think now that FC-1 is fully Chinese (WS-13 is ready), the Chinese should fulfill the agreement. They would be ideal replacement for the A-5s, so maybe a strike / attack variant would be good for them.

CAS / strike / tactical attack is something that the J-10 is not suited for, neither aerodynamically nor in terms of its avionics suite. Nor is the aeroplane suitable for low level flight.

JF-17 would be the best replacement for the A-5s at least.
