Azerbaijan decided on limitation of WhatsApp and Skype applications

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan decided on such issue as limitation of WhatsApp and Skype applications, gathering strength in the world.

According to Iltimas Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Communications and High Technologies, Internet is free and will remain free in Azerbaijan.

“Limitation of such services as WhatsApp and Skype is not on agenda. We have licensing procedure for Internet providers (there are more than 40 providers in the country) and this is enough for the sector regulation”, - Mammadov said.

Measures for limitation of WhatsApp were taken in some countries, such as UAE.
