Rampur: The cabinet minister of Uttar Pradesh government, Azam Khan gave a controversial statement while talking about Gay Rights on Sunday.
Targeting the right wing organisation, RSS, Azam Khan said, "RSS volunteers are like that which is why they don't marry." The Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, in a statement supporting Gay Rights, had mentioned that supreme Court should reconsider Article 377.
Azam Khan, who was visiting the Inspection Building of Rampur in UP said that Parliament should have a firm perspective about it. He said that the Parliament is capable of it and is the biggest court in the country.
'It is not necessary that rest of the people too have the same perspective. RSS men are like that. RSS have been accused of the same since the very beginning that's why they don't marry,' Azam Khan said.
He further called suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur impudent. He said that Thakur is a black blot in the name of Administrative Officer with low-level thinking. He asserted that Amitabh Thakur's place is in the jail because he also instigated riots in Rampur.
