Thakurgaon, Mar 28 (bdnews24.com) – Thakurgaon district Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Mawlana Abdul Hakim is being kept under watch, after his name was found to be on a list of alleged war criminals, police said on Sunday.

But questions are being raised as he was reportedly only 11 years old in 1971.

According to various reports, Hakim is on the list of 36 war criminals in Thakurgaon.

"He is being kept under watch as his name came up in war criminal lists of various investigation organisations and news media," Thakurgaon police super BM Harun-ur-Rashid said.

"Hakim's house has not been surrounded; police have been deployed for his own security. He can go outside if he wants to", the police super said.

Meanwhile, Baliadangi upazila chairman and Awami League general secretary Probir Kumar Roy said that he had known Hakim for a long time as they were both from the village of Ziabari.

"He was only 11 years old, a student of class six at Kalmegh Madrasa in 1971," the local AL leader said.

Hakim also issued a statement to journalists with a copy of his national ID. He said there was no chance of him being a war criminal as he was only 11 then.

He said he became involved with Jamaat-e-Islami in 1985.

His name was included in the 'war criminals list' to harass him politically, Hakim said in his statement.

Yet proof again that Awami munafiqs are staging this low quality drama to demise opposition in the name war crime. Awami are not serious about this instead they are using people sentiment to destroy jamat politics. Jamat has not done anything wrong by defending the united pakistan. I am not a doctor and I have no clue regarding the test. But I saw my sister (who is a lawyer) sends people for medical testing for the proof of their actual age.
This article interesting to back my claim up.

A special court in Mumbai, has ordered a medical examination to decide the actual age of the prime accused in Mumbai terror attacks case Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab.

Judge M L Tahiliyani permitted special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam to probe three witnesses that includes doctors and jailor on April 28 to find out Kasab is not a juvenile.

The court also ordered doctors to carry out ossification and dental examinations to settle on whether arrested terrorist Kasab’s actual age, and submit a complete report before April 28.

Ajmal’s lawyer Abbas Kazmi said that the tests will be conducted at the Arthur Road Jail, Mumbai, where Kasab is presently lodged.

He also said that if the test reports found that Kasab is below 18, then his case will be shifted to the juvenile court.

The maximum punishment given under Juvenile Justice Act is maximum 3 years, Kazmi said.

The court passed orders to make a full-fledge inquiry after the prosecutor Nikam filed an application urging that Ajmal’s age may be decided before the charges are framed against him.

Previously, Kasab had himself declared that he was below 18, and that the case should be transferred to Juvenile Justice Court.

However, the court rejected his appeal, and opined that he did not appear to be juvenile and if the court thinks that anytime during examination that the inquiry should be held to determine his age it would do so.

Well in a case where the person does have wisdom teeth then offcourse that test can be done. I am just attempting to establish whether it is regarded as a credible test in other countries. Any knowledge anybody ?

There are no medical test which will give the exact dates.

But approximate age can be determined(with high accuracy-->)...even if you were dead 1000 yrs ago...and GOD forbid they will tell your SEX also

I told you many people dont have that tooth even at the age of more than 25 so how can you determine the age by judging a silly tooth
