Automatic arms licences suspended

ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry has suspended the licences for all prohibited bore weapons, through which automatic weapons have been registered, a private TV channel reported on Saturday.

The decision was taken in line with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s promise to ban all the automatic weapons and the notification in this regard was issued earlier this week.

According to the notification, the owners of automatic weapons will be able to get their weapons replaced with semi-automatic firearms or get Rs 50,000 in return for their weapons from the district administration. The owners of automatic weapon have until January 15, 2018, to submit their weapons or get them replaced.

Yes. From jan 15, 2018 onward. People have more then 2 months to replace their weapon. Which is sufficient.

You can replace your fully automatic rifle with semi automatic. Licences are banned Only for fully automatic.

You can get semiautomatics ,.double barrel shotguns, and many other options. .... It's just for automatic weapons.... Unless you plan on going to war against the criminals you should be OK.

No one uses legal auto weapons in criminal activity. They are always illegal auto weapons, which these corrupts can never stop in-flowing into country.
Their police is useless and as much corrupt as themselves. Only way is to arm your population against criminals, but their mission is opposite, to snatch legal weapons and give free hand to criminal gangs
