Austria is closing 7 mosques and kicking out 60 imams
The far-right government claims it’s due to “national security” concerns.

The announcement, which was made by Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, is rooted in a 2015 law that requires Muslim organizations to express a “positive fundamental view towards [the] state and society” of Austria, and bans foreign funding of religious institutions. “Political Islam’s parallel societies and radicalizing tendencies have no place in our country,” said Kurz at a press conference. His vice chancellor, Heinz-Christian Strache, added ominously, “This is just the beginning.”

I have seen many members here express support for such decisions against radical salafist institutions which fund and create problems for other countries.

Muslims still pray anywhere and cannot be stopped.... Back in the days UK had similar problems.. Getting permission to build a mosque was near to impossible.. Muslims hired warehouses and held their mass prayers.
Austrian Muslims will do the same..

Yet the first mosque in the United Kingdom was built in 1889 without any problem in Woking by Hungarian-British Orientalist Gottlieb Wilhelm Leitner. It was funded by Begum Shah Jahan from Bhopal.
