USA military ties with Australia is much older than spat between India and China

There is nothing like old and new ties in world politics! We had old ties to Nepal ,bhutan. You Ofcourse know whts going on these days. Relationship changes with change in governments.
Government changes influence ties and bonds as much as history.
World kinda revolves around India with largest population ( possibly) and thus market. US military just like any military is only as good as decision makers, with Trump i don't think US military holds the same kinda clout it previously did. They are pulling outa europe leaving NATO commitments weak. European nations are small and weak(economically), they won't remain same for ever.
I clearly see new world order taking shape.

No country is basing its relationship on how India China border skirmishes go.

This is 2-3 decades away when our population/demographic advantage truly translates to economic wealth and that finally leads to military power projection globally

For example for 45 years Japan was second largest economy after USA, but never had global influence to extant of Soviet Union or USA.

Correct on this part, however to what extant USA will exit Europe is doubtful

USA exit from Europe has 2 concerns for USA-
1. USA exit will lead to Russian interference in Eastern Europe
2. Much more concerning, In response to Russian expansion we may see militarization of Western European states. These state that might challenge USA someday like they did back in the past.

USA has put a lot of effort in neutering European power in the last century. I do not see all that undone so soon
