Australia on track to possibly 'eradicate' coronavirus

As soon as they lift restrictions and open schools the second wave would likely hit and they will see many new cases..The virus will make its way back from inside or from outside..

We are tracking well. Australia has literally flattened the curve :yahoo:

flattening the curve doesnt mean 'eradicating' it like suggested in title. It means it will soon be an endemic.
S.Korea is getting new cases and moving in that direction.

There is good likelihood that the virus will be eradicated locally in Australia with current strict self quarantine and social distancing protocols. Only 22 new cases yesterday across the entire nation.

Being an island entry into country can be effectively controlled at airports.

Not sure when Australian government will lift entry of foreigners into the country though.

This is a cocoon dream.its fine if you want to continue to live it.

We could achieve the same thing over the next 4-6 weeks. Hopefully the borders between us (NZ and Aus) could be opened at that point.

We are just lucky we didn't listen to the CCP Wuhan Health Organization and closed our borders early.

Congrats. But be cautious since winter is coming.
