FIRST - don't call people Sanghi. That word is a HIGHLY respected word in Sikhi. It will be game over for you quickly.
SECOND - Don't claim that you know Sikh scripture. Like you got bowled a while back. Just say that your parents are practicing. But you are culturally Sikh but not aware of the theological details. Say that you live in Canada and you are better versed with local culture instead.

Try harder. May be in a new avataar you will be more successful here.

more economic facts to come later on. What happened to industrial growth is punjabi industrialist to take advantage of lower wages/taxes shifted industries to other states. All this can solved by independent East Punjab, then punjabis will shift their industries back to Punjab even if cost is bit higher. Pakistan will give them full access to Karachi and Gwadar port like we do to Afghanistan and central asian countries.
