with the world population almost certain to reach 8.8 -10 billion by the end of this century, and the major increase is to be seen in African countries, that are not large contributors to the ghg emissions, but the real problem is the growing demands after economic improvements in China and India, which would mean more cars and more energy required as their population is already huge, combined both countries represent over a third of world population. which would mean more fossil fuel and more emissions

Yup that's what everyone thinks...actually EV will be as disastrous as internal combustion because of the energy requirements, the wastes it generates, manufacturing and the lead it will introduce into ecosystem. Its the capitalist way of doing things that solution to the adverse effects of one technology lies in introduction of newer so called better technology but the solution is much more complex sir

EV is far more polluting than gas cars. Like 1000 times as much.
