At least four people were injured in an explosion in Turbat's Cinema bazaar in Balochistan on Sunday, police officials said.
The injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, Turbat for medical treatment while police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel cordoned off the area and started investigations.
The attack is believed to have been carried out by militants seeking to target an FC check post, a police official told Dawn.com.
The attack comes less than three months after a soldier of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom and three others suffered injuries in an attack on a patrolling party of security forces near the Jhaki post in Turbat.
The terrorists had opened fire on the security forces’ patrolling party some 35km southeast of Turbat. During the ensuing exchange of fire, Lance Naik Waseem Ullah was martyred and three other soldiers suffered injuries, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
In August, a student was killed and three FC personnel injured in a roadside explosion in Turbat's Absar area. An improvised explosive device was detonated with remote control when the FC convoy reached the area.
Similarly, in July 2020 at least one person was killed, while seven others injured in an explosion in a market in Turbat that was also caused by an IED planted in a motorbike.

Last week Hazara and now this .........................wtf. Baluchistan is restless ... almost every week 1 attack ...so systematically. Bicycle bomb is old Afghan-Indian foot print.

There goes CPEC. I can see international investors are really going to be impressed. Meantime let Pak Navy buy more ships to do what exactly? Guard against Somali pirates on the high seas? Why not save the money on PN and spend on a proper security force in Balochistan?

Someone said long ago.... BLA is now umbrella organization. But anyway, when our intelligence know about the BLA camps inside Afghanistan funded and operated by India... fail to understand this silence. Are we waiting for successful Taliban-US peace deal........So, when Taliban come in political power they will fix these camps... unfortunately, Taliban already signed for better relations with India.

This attack is done by Marxist terrorists

You not blaming religion now you islamophobic piece of shit???
Hum is India bc ko jawab kyn nahi deta?

Coward liberals rule Pakistan

Don't expect much from them. They can't do much both inside and outside Balochistan. It is in their ideology that instills cowardice

Ive said it before and Ill say it again. If Pakistan needs to be saved as a nation we need to save ourselves from within first. This means the federal govt should prioritize and work with China closely in creating major concentration camps. Not just in Balochistan but every single province. We need a system in place where we can jail, house, and possibly re-educate millions of our citizens, terrorist, corrupt politicians/police/judges. The cirriculumn of such camps should be PAKISTANI NATIONALISM and the RULE OF LAW. It is not the fault of the majority of pakistani people that corruption is a part of everyday life. Only such a shock and awe campaign of mass detentions will jolt the national pysche and change things for the better. All the political chores including PDM, PTM, BLA, etc can also be jailed in mass until looted wealth is returned forcefully that is the only solution.

It is not the fault of the majority of innocent poor Baloch that they are brainwashed by their own leaders/sardars. What has Balochistan (Iran+Afghan occupied) achieved in the last 200+ years???? absolutely nothing. Only Pakistan-Balochistan has seen progress in the form of an active civil society, open democracy, Gwadar port, gas pipelines, CPEC, etc...

This is the argumant Indians make when they get hit in IOK. Blame it on camps in Pakistan. This a lazy way out that papers over your own failure. There is a border. Nothing should move across that border without being checked and cleared. That is why countries have border entry points with officials. What is the point of them if people can just walz over few miles down the line? Then countries have intelligence service, police and para-military forces to interdict and or catch these people preferably before they do something or if they manage to do it kill them so they can't repeat it again. Pakistan has failed big time on this.

Personally I think this is about resources. The Turks have a force called Jandarma that exists for the specific purpose of internal security. It is NOT the Turkish Army but a paramilitary organization. My understanding is it has manpower of over 200,000 men and women which is almost the size of Pak Army. But then think. Pakistan has a population nearly three times greater than Turkey. Thus if this force was referanced for Pakistan it would need at least 600,000 men which is nearly same strength as Pakistan Army.

A Pakistan Jandarma of 600,00 men, with 4,500 armored vehicles and 180 helicopters would place at the same sizing as the Turkish Jandarma with primary of mission of internal security. Trust me with such force nothing would move in Pakistan. Then watch how fast BLA and others would be neutralized. Pakistan really needs to focus on internal security. It is no point in building a navy to guard the high seas but the country is being eaten away from the inside.

Can the Mods clean this Indian paan stain please?

The enemies have a free open hand to do whatever they desire in Balochestan. I cannot see any improvement in the law and order situation. India has an upper hand in this guerilla warfare imposed on us.

Well, our police is totally ineffective and para military scared to confront these groups. Try travel Baluchistan and talk to locals. You ll get the idea. Now only military left to resolve. Stretch too thin. All Pakistan need good and accurate intelligence and precision strike force. Remove judiciary system in such operation. No arrest. Things get worst when arrest and send for judicial remand. That's how suicide bomber who attacked Musharraf got first relief from court.

Last week Hazara and now this .........................wtf. Baluchistan is restless ... almost every week 1 attack ...so systematically. Bicycle bomb is old Afghan-Indian foot print.
before Hazara incident there was an attack on FC post where 7 of our men were martyred.
I was expecting an attack on some Sunni cleric to instigate sectarian war but so far the target has gone back to security personnel.

I agree with everyone that only way to prevent is the counter attacks within the country and outside the country with plausible deniability

I posted earlier what Pakistan needs. A massive investment in a paramilitary force with numbers listed below. But this would cost couple of billion dollars. Are Pakistani people prepared to pay the tax for such a large, well equipped force? The answer is NO.

Rest is just finger pointing and blame gaming. America did it. India did it. Israel did it. Iran did it. Hidden hands up my ar*se did it.

Indian backed terrorists are having a field day in Balochistan. One can feel the pinch of shortage of MALE UAVs and gunships at this point.
