Ubisoft has released a new trailer for the next game in their series of one-off Assassin’s Creed Chronicles games.
In the “Deep Dive” trailer, Lead Designer Matt Duff introduces their new assassin, Arbaaz Mir, and his arsenal of unique weapons. The game takes place during the British Empire’s reign and Arbaaz is tasked with saving his girl, and an ancient artifact in the hands of the British.
The first game in the series, China, had an art style that resembled large, flowing brush strokes. In India, the art style is more normalized, but the whole map is splashed with the colored powder used during the Holi festival.
Arbaaz uses different weapons from China’s Shao Jun, including the smoke bomb, noise dart, rope dart and Chakrams. He also wields the Talwar sword and trident hidden blade variant for more lethal options. There also seems to be some sort of magic involved, as Arbaaz moves between hiding places by transforming into some sort of mist.
Check out the trailer below:
While the Chronicles series has two games on the way, Assassin’s Creed’s main series may be taking a break. A rumor has been circling that Ubisoft will be taking a year off from releasing a game and that the next game in the series will take place in ancient Egypt.
