There is no hue or cry. Its a proper procedure a chairman should take. Very much needed in the current situation of the Pakistan cricket.

India has just emerged from a fabulous practice of the game, unlike Pakistan.

Therefore, the Indians were better practised.

Why make such a hue and cry?

The PCB should themselves start a similar tournament to keep its players fighting trim, but they won't. And they will readily condemn all others for their own faults!

There is no doubt that Indians were far superior that day and they very well deserved that but body language and the way the team carried themselves was not upto the level. They were looking like club team not the rusted ones

Fully agreed. However there are 2 or 3 points that can be gleamed from this debate. Pakistani team has never been known to be a good chaser of runs. They always seem to succumb to pressure. The PCB chairman was in his rights to berrate the team management regarding the teams performance which was poor. This was leaked out and this was wrong. So if Salim Altaf leaked it (although I dont know how!) he should be punished as per rules. However, the President's going to Bangladesh is not going to help the team and should really be considered a waste of resouces.
I think it is high time BCCP had an elected setup and president. Let the professionals handle the game. this will avoid a lot of controversies although whether it raises the standards of the game in Pakistan can not be predicted.
The performance of Lawson has been criticized and should be reviewed. He has been conspicuous by his absence. I think it is a bit too early, but if this performance continues, he may well end up looking for another job. The same goes for Shoaib, who really has not shown much progress as a captain.
Comments have been raised about Shoaib aand Asif. Shoaib is a destructive influence and effort should not be wasted on him. For Asif now is the time for the Board to deal with him sternly but fairly. No leniency should be shown towards him. This will send out the message we should have sent out 10 yrs ago when Shoaib was being tolerated inspite of being indisciplined. It is good for the game and in the long term for Asif to be punished now so that he never infringes the laws again.
As far as selection has gone, we have been fair and included players in form and excluded out of form players.
Lastly to set a cat amongst the pigeons, is it possible that Pakistanis have done this intentionally to get the price right with the Bookies and then come back and make a killing , obviously in collaboration with their indian colleagues? What do you Guys think?

IMO, the thing is that India has assigned former bowlers and batsmen as specific coaches for the specific job who can help the team prepare confidently. I believe Pakistan should assign Waqar or Wasim as a bowling coach, and get a good fielding coach from aboard.

i havnt read the previous posts but guys lets give credit where credit is due. i will say 2 things.
1. its only a game.
2. india has a great one-day side. they are all in their early 20s and are very talented. they have a great capt. in MS Dhoni. he has a quiet leadership quality about him. i think they will win the asia cup hands down and even though the world cup is a long way off, i tip them as the favourites.

this can be debated.
However Pakistan could be a much better and consistent unit if they sort of self created problems with Shoaib and Asif. They hould start playing for the nation.

Ridiculous. The only reason Pakistan won was because of the glass-like pitch surface.

I think Cricket is an unfair game. The odds are hardly ever even after the toss. Its always one side that gets some advantage...pitch, light, weather, outfield, something or the other.

Football is so much better. Atleast both teams get a fair chance.
