Turkish Mosque Attacked in US alarms rising Islamophobia - Daily Sabah

abd-cami.jpg

Masked assailants hurled stones at a mosque in West Springfield, Massachusetts, Wednesday. The attack is under investigation to check whether or not it was hate-crime driven and occurred after a series of anti-Muslim incidents in the country.
...

The mosque, built by Turkey's Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Council of Ahiska Turkish-American Associates, opened earlier this year in March.

Ahiska Turks, also known as Meskhetian Turks, were expelled in 1944 from their homeland – the Meskheti region in Georgia – by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, in attempt to deport Turks from the shores of the Black Sea.

In Europe Attacks to mosques are in rise; Pegida like Islamophobia and Xenophobia-centered organisations are having attention from regular people in Europe. However, Some groups and to some extent some governments try to keep balance and peace between societies.

In USA the story is a bit different; The common sense towards mulims and Islam is negative; The last news i read was a muslim woman was rejected to be served a soda in flight in USA on the ground that she could use it as a weapon. Also Another woman was rejected after an interview on the groung that she was muslim, and the court found guilty the firm.

In Europe Turk and Islam higly mean same thing in the eyes of non-muslims, just like in Serbia. The same reason is possible in this attack.

Also i know you copied it from an article we Ahiska hate the term "Meskhetian Turk"
