ASEAN Defense Industries, Comparison among countries

Will it be the first of it's class? AFAIK Bakamla doesn't have big ship that have water canon, so won't be able to joint the water canon party in SCS :cheesy:
Expect more to come. They are planning to procure four of this vessel until 2019 and some more 80 meter vessels.
Why the Indonesian government does not develop a warship frigate for Navy from this design ?
beautiful baby, indeed :smitten:
Well the design seems like sigma, doesn't it? Anyway should be considered for our navy's OPV as they want to add some

Your empty pathetic reply just shows how well i debunk your bullshit claim of you guys making a radar...son. i repeat again, you have Zero electronic manufacturing industry so don't embarrass yourself in front of the international forum members by boasting about producing a radar.
if VN is primitive, why Intel Vietnam produces 80 percent of all CPU chips for the world market? ok, I know you will say because of cheap labor, so but why Intel does not go to dirty cheaper countries elsewhere in Asia and Africa?

The Indonesian Aerospace Wulung UAV has achieved a key milestone with its attainment of a military type certification.

Developed jointly by Indonesian Aerospace and the government, the Wulung is aimed at military intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, and other surveillance roles such as border patrol.

The certification process involved 13 flight tests of the Wulung, says Indonesian Aerospace in a statement

The system has been in testing for several years. The company says that when fully developed it will have a range of 100km from the controller, and a maximum cruising altitude of 5,500ft.

The LAPAN LSU-02 (LAPAN Surveillance UAV-02) is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by the Lembaga Penelitian dan Penerbangan Nasional (LAPAN) of Indonesia. It was developed in 2012 for both civilian and military purposes. The Indonesian military classifies it as a tactical UAV because of its ability to fly over long ranges (300 km, theoretically 450 km) for its size. It broke an Indonesian record for longest ranged UAV built locally.

Like any other UAV, LSU-02 can be flown remotely and automatically fly (autonomous flying). Although the performance is still below Wulung, but because of the dimensions and the weight is quite light. LSU-02 was to take off from a helicopter deck SIGMA Class corvettes KRI Diponegoro 365, LSU-02 has a role as a scout object of Exocet MM40 missiles targeted at Joint Exercises (Latgab) TNI, 2013 in Bawean Sea.

LSU 05

LSU-05 designed to be able to fly up to 8 hours with an average speed of 100 km / h. This means that if the average speed of 100 km / h, and able to fly for 8 hours, then the aircraft will be able to automatically fly as far as 800 km. The condition is clearly different from the LSU-02 were only able to automatically fly as far as 200-400 km. LSU-05 flying range was somewhat farther than Wulung which is just 200 km.

This comment of yours really shows how uneducated and ill informed your side has always been. Do you even know that the Intel facility in Vietnam is an assembly test and packaging plant? Yes, it is just an assembly test and package plant.

Where do you think Intel' chip design facilities are? In Israel and Ireland. Where does Intel fabricate their chips? Not in a million year in primitive Vietnam. Read this to learn more.

Yes, Vietnam is extremely primitive. She has no electronic manufacturing industries. NONE, ZERO. It's too easy to debunk your side bullshit's claim of producing a radar.

Unlike the japanese, the korean is willing to share technology.
With the ability to build submarine, Indonesia will have the strongest naval force in s.e asia. Congrats

Well, japanesse got arms export ban.
Yeah Indonesia get technology from korea on LPD, submarine, and co-develop KFX/IFX.
And being strongest, dunno about that, but the official said that ideally Indonesia need at least 12 sub and a lot more surface combatan and support vessels, so gonna need years to accomplish that.

KOTA KINABALU, SABAH - MISC Berhad (MISC) today had successfully handed over to the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) the Naval Auxiliary Vessel BUNGA MAS LIMA (BM5), joining the RMN’s current fleet that will be deployed to safeguard the safety of our Malaysian waters and strengthen the RMN’s future maritime defense strategy.

BUNGA MAS LIMA, a 699 TEUs container ship was the first Malaysian vessel to be converted into an RMN Auxiliary Vessel and was tasked with escorting MISC ships sailing through the Gulf of Aden, a high-risk area that was rampant with piracy activities.

The Handing over Ceremony of BUNGA MAS LIMA reflects MISC’s dedication from end to end towards supporting the National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) and RMN’s role in safeguarding the safety of our Malaysian waters.

“MISC’s collaboration with the RMN to convert the BUNGA MAS LIMA into a Naval Auxiliary Vessel was a significant milestone for the company and set a bold precedent for the shipping industry as MISC was the first and only shipping company that has implemented this unique security arrangement to protect its ships, crew and cargo against piracy,” said Mr. Yee Yang Chien, President/CEO of MISC.

The Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) Base
---
The construction of the Tun Sharifah Rodziah sea-basing ship in the waters off eastern Sabah will tighten maritime security, especially in the Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) areas.

Armed forces chief Gen Tan Sri Dr Zulkifeli Mohd Zin said the sea-basing ship would be equipped with interceptor boats, unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopter and a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) team.

The first forward operating base at sea, converted from a decommissioned oil platform, will be in place along Sabah’s east coast by early next month.

“Besides oil platforms, we also have vessels that we have identified as mobile forward bases,” he told reporters after delivering a talk on Malaysia’s Defence and Security Policies at the Armed Forces Defence College here yesterday.
