ASEAN Defense Industries, Comparison among countries

Take their claim as a grain of salt. They have ZERO electronic manufacturing industry.
Said by a butthurt ARVN third generation boy who is currently living in the States and have never EVER set foot on Vietnam, let alone watching its military industries.

Nice try though, son.

Did I hit your nerve, scooter knight? Truth hurts.

You have a military industry? What do you make? You have ZERO electronic manufacturing industry. I repeat again, your have ZERO. You can't even make a microprocessor, DRAM, hard drive, PCB. You don't even have a freaking wafer fabrication plant to even talk about having an electronic industry. What radar components do you make? Receiver? transmitter?data processor? power supply unit? LCD screen? Antenna? Nuts and bolts? You make ZERO.

You can tout how you make a "radar" all you want for your uneducated domestic crowd to swallow. Keep it domestic and don't bring it to an international forum like this. Outside of Vietnam, nobody takes you seriously considering you have ZERO electronic manufacturing industry, son.

You are a nation of scooters and you're one of the scooter "knights" so wait until you can afford a car first before talking about "military industry". Such backwardness.

I think he is not a a southern vietnamese. If he is one he would talk bad on the government or the political or economic regime or military. Not of Vietnam in general. Viet kieu may disagree here and there with the regime but usually never talk bad on our country where our forfarthers come from. In short, the guy is a scum.

1st generation is the one that live under ARVN regime before 1975, then fled the country. Some ex-ARVN servicemen are actually decent, most are not.
2nd generation is the children, who might or might not been born in Vietnam before 1975.
3rd generation is the grandchildren who are born in the US and never set foot on Vietnam.

Hence I classify the butthurt boy as the third generation.

As I said, nice try, son, but your words are empty as your father and grandfather's.

Maybe you should stick with plastic guns and fake parade with rent vehicles in Little Saigon. You boys have embarrassed yourselves for 50 years, no need to bark more. :woot:

Farewell, son.

According to his own words he is an old man. So he is not a third generation of viet kieu. Consider this: third generation of viet kieu knows little about Vietnam, know to nothing about the wars in Vietnam, all the things the people suffered so long, little on economy, lesser on the political background. How can one bark if nothing is known? No. he pretends someone he wants to be. I don't know where he comes from, but considering his deep hatred on Vietnam I would not be surprised he comes from a certain country.

Will it be the first of it's class? AFAIK Bakamla doesn't have big ship that have water canon, so won't be able to joint the water canon party in SCS :cheesy:

The ATTC or All-Terrain Tracked Carrier was developed by Singapore Technologies Kinetics in cooperation with Thales of UK. It was specially developed to meet requirements of the Singapore Army. Development commenced in the mid-1990s. This articulated vehicle was revealed in 2000. It entered service with the Singapore Armed Forces in 2001. It is also proposed for export customers as the Bronco. It was selected by the UK MoD for use in Afghanistan, locally designated as the Warthog. A total of 115 vehicles were ordered. A majority of them were delivered in 2010.

A British Warthog on trial at Bovington Camp.

In December 2010, British Army soldier – Lance Corporal William Reeks – survived an IED attack after the Warthog he was travelling in set off a 50 kg (110 lb) improvised explosive device. His family believes that the stronger armour of the Warthogs, which replaced less heavily fortified Viking armoured vehicles, helped save their son's life.
