Bushra Bibi, a resident of Lahore, has filed for divorce from her husband Imran Khan in a case which shocked court reporters on Wednesday by reading the plaintiff’s name in legal documents.


However, this was not the pair they were thinking about. The shock was caused by Bushra’s similar spelling of the former first lady’s name to Bushra.


Bushra has filed for divorce in the Family Court and has been asked to end her four-month relationship with a resident of Gujarat.


The couple had been living apart for the past two months. The 43-year-old woman says she can no longer live with her husband and wants the marriage to end.


According to the petition, in early February, Imran “kicked out” Bushra after an altercation.

The court summoned her husband Imran Khan for the next hearing.

Meanwhile, former First Lady Bushra Bibi is reportedly living happily with former Prime Minister Imran Khan at his residence in Bani Gala, Islamabad.

Such tactics were wrong when these happened during PTI's govt & they are wrong now under PDM govt.

If this continues unabated we may even see journalists being beaten & abductions as in the case of Matiullah Jan, Asad Ali Toor, etc... I am not talking about Absar Alam yet, who got shot in the abdomen for revealing extent of Establishment's interference in GE2018.

First of all PEMRA should act as necessary. When FIA gets involved then it is too much & is harassment. There might be pressure from Establishment to punish those journalists who are helping anti-Establishment trends.
