Arunachal in China? That is not the reality, says PM Manmohan Singh

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said that Arunachal Pradesh has always been an integral part of India and will remain so and the Chinese map showing the northeastern state as its part will not change the reality.

This "simple fact" was conveyed by the Prime Minister to a delegation of All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union which met him here yesterday, AAPSU president Takam Tatung said.

"Arunachal Pradesh has always been an integral part of India and will remain so," Tatung quoted Singh as saying.

The Prime Minister said Arunachal Pradesh cannot remain in isolation and the fruit of development should reach there like the rest of the country.

"During my visit to Arunachal Pradesh in 2008, the creation of infrastructure in the state had been outlined and our governments both at the Centre and in the state are doing their best to accelerate the pace of development," Tatung said quoting the Prime Minister.

The AAPSU delegation also brought to the notice of the Prime Minister the decades-old Chakma-Hajong issue in the state, insurgency in Tirap and Changlang, Assam-Arunachal boundary row and mechanism to monitor proper implementation of all the government schemes in the state, Tatung added.

Same way Kashmir In India, That Is Not A Reality. Not Sure about Arunachal, But Kashmir Certainly Is Not a part of India.

No, there is lots of difference what china thinks and reality.

India physically, politically and economically controls Arunanchal but china just think in dreams.

Same with Kashmir, many people have wet dreams but the fact is that India have 60% of Kashmir with it.

In my mother tongue "Aruna" means the first sunlight of the day."Pradesh" means region.
so the meaning of Arunachal pradesh is "the state of sunshine".

According to indian media, PLA soldiers visit south tibet thousand times per year, more than the times to go to toilet. Do you guys really have army in south tibet?

Kid we are talking about Arunachal pradesh, not tibet..
can't u understand that simple thing..

Yes, India is occupying China's territory.

China can become a true superpower only by destroying the occupier of its territories -- the evil India! That third world country should be subjugated to demonstrate Chinese civilization's historical superiority again.

There is no need to demonstrate Chinese power, we've done it numerous times already. China don't get American's barking at us and India comparing every one of their technological inventions or imports with us for no reasons

The longer the issue remains unsettled, the more it is to China's advantage. The more belligerent Indians get, the less likely the issue will be settled.

If being 'less belligerent' means to give Arunachal to China then sorry to disappoint you but that's not possible.

Not at least until either there is a full fledged war or India agrees to give it up unilaterally.

And China has nothing to offer India to make India give up Arunachal.
