If Volvo Buses ends like this then Indian buses will have no chance.

This is what happened to the expensive Volvo buses...

In western countries I do not think the policy of not opening the door until the machine reads the ticket is there. There the passenger comes in... insert the coin and get the ticket or if the have earlier ticket they just validate it after getting into the bus. I am not clear about not opening the door part!!!

In Germany & Holland, Bus ticket bought in the bus are made costlier than that purchase before at station. Also THey offer monthly pass that is quite cheaper compare to daily ticket. So traveller generally have the tickets before hand and have to flash it to the driver.

If there are lots of passenger to get into the bus, all the doors are open hoping that all the passenger has a valid ticket. And during the ride surprise ticket check by a collector is done to catch the ticketless traveller.

I was talking about ticketing before boarding, that does not apply to local bus usually (smart card is different case)

I was also saying the same. This is absurd to say bus door wont be open until all coins are inserted or tickets are not read as coin box and ticket validating machine usually remain inside bus.

I guess some one with small brain like you have not seen streets of Hong Kong or even other big cities like New York and Toronto. Otherwise you wound not make such childish comment. Here the driving skill is more important then the road. For your info most of the Dhaka city road is at least 3 lane in each direction instead of 3 feet.

By the way what is having of roads like Pakistan be it narrow or wider where people fear a lot to roam freely as you never know when there will be a road side bombing or suicide bomb blast.

^^ Our roads are cleaner than yours obviously... People dont have to worry about car accidents as unlike in Pakistan there are no poor people blocking the streets as in Bangladesh... I'd rather be cool with suicide bombing then annual flooding of streets, casuing huge distress to the BD nation, but by 2050 u wont have to live with it, ok?
