An Army major and a soldier were killed while two other soldiers were injured in an IED blast, suspected to have been planted inside the Indian territory by Pakistani terrorists, on the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district on Friday.

Army Officer & Two Soldier’s Killed in an IED Explosion at Naushera, Pak Violates Ceasefire, Targets Army Porter in Sunderbani Sector

Srinagar JAN 11 : Today at about 3pm, an Improvised Explosive Device explosion took place near LoC in Naushera Sector(J&K) in which an Army Officer and a soldier got grievously injured. Immediate resuscitation and medical aid was provided, however, they succumbed to the injuries.

In another incident of unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan troops in Sunderbani Sector, an Army Porter named Sh Hemraj was shot at & grievously injured. The individual was provided immediate resuscitation and medical aid, however, he later succumbed to the gun shot wounds.

The Army authorities have promised all possible assistance to the families of slain solidier’s

Earlier it was reported that one Army major, BSF jawan injured in sniper fire.


According to sources, the duo was reportedly injured in sniping.
The incident happened in forward post of '3 BUMP' at around I pm.

An improvised explosive device was planted by suspected militants in foot-track along the LoC to target Army soldiers patrolling the borderline in Laam belt of Nowshera sector of Rajouri district, they said.

Let me point out, for the umpteenth time, no such thing as the BAT (Border Action Teams comprised of Pakistani soldiers and militants) exists on the Pakistani side as claimed by the Indians and Indian media.

Engaging in extremely high risk, cross-LoC strikes in an extremely heavily militarized and monitored region is something that requires extremely good training, planning and coordination by the raiding parties. The Pakistan Army is not going to put highly trained soldiers into a small group with a bunch of militants whose training or ability to follow orders and coordinate would be suspect, and therefore potentially put the lives of everyone at risk.
